The Ocean

I was a bit disappointed in the beach approach. Too rocky and did not have an area being able to walk into the open ocean without falling into drop offs..

HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY

Location: nothing everything cost and arm and a leg to get to!
Food options are horrible my wife and I were so disappointed on our anniversary night at one of their "specialty" restaurants! Food was tasteless and not good at all! Service is garbage had to ask 3 times for ice and washcloths 3 days in a row and still didn't get it had to go get them myself!

The food could be more Jamaican food. Because you want to experience that kind.instead of one, dish on alcarte.other than that it's beautiful and mmm nice. biting is perfect but I will always stay there

Heaven on earth

The cleanest resort I've ever visited. Staff are so friendly and helpful. You can snorkel right off the beaches.

Not a 5* more like a 2*

Booked in to the grand Bahia hotel on Expedia. Got to the hotel at the gate they did not have our names or info. Got into the hotel lobby check in guy was great however he could not find our names and booking that took around half an hour! After half an hour no exaggeration with the timing, we was checked in, given our keys. Lovely bell man took us upto our room. Got to the most foul smell landing where our room was located opened room door , the room was dirty and not ready! Bell man calls reception and just leaves us there. What the hell! Okay so after one hour on the balcony sea view I decided to call the reception area myself and told them about the issue, which apparently they was not aware of! A lady came to our room, did not even want to come in told us we can wait downstairs for them to clean the room but the room was foul smell so I asked for a room change no rooms Available with two double beds so we got a king instead! The room was better still a 2* sheets smells bad. Still on the same landing of the foul poo smell. Serious drainage problem. Carpet was badly stained. View hotel nothing grand definitely not a 5* went for something to eat no one came to serve us water, wine or drinks. We had to walk over and ask for it. Food was good that's the only good thing about this hotel. Waiters and servers has really bad attitude problems and believe that we don't understand Jamaican.only attention you will get is sales rep selling preferred club i.e. Time share.

Food was just ok. Rooms spacious, but needs upgrading. They had no room for us, had to wait an additional 2 hours after check in time.

Too many mosquito and pools close too early

Pools close in the United States around 11 and in Jamaica they close at 6:00 that's way too early They kept running out of bananas and that should never happen in Jamaica when one of your favorite drinks require a banana in it

Lovely hotel, grounds and beach

The hotel is bright, clean and has a wonderful beach. All the staff from reception to cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. The food was good and plentiful. The only negative is that it was almost impossible to get reservations at the specialty restaurants. Other than that, I would highly recommended this hotel and its facilities.
