no ocean view. far from the main hotel.

Pros: the beaches were very nice
Cons: the phone and wifi
the hotel was average. the phone and wifi didn't work half the time. I didn't get the ocean view that I requested.

Great family place

Pros: The staff is great, always friendly and with a smile! The beaches are nice and great for beginners' snorkeling, with many small, colorful fishes. Fun.

Location: Great place if you want to stay in the resort and enjoy your free time relaxing or at the beach. The closest place is 45 minutes away by car.
Our stay was pleasant; the staff is very nice and friendly, they always had a nice greeting for everybody. The place is very clean and organized, and it is a great place for families; the guests were family groups, attending weddings, or singles groups. There were Europeans, Asians, Hispanics, and white and black Americans, a great mixture of cultures and races. All the guests were well behaved and dressed decently, nobody was over exposing body parts, and even though this is an all inclusive, we did not see any excessive drinking. The down side is that the facility needs an update: 1- The main lobby is very hot, there are fans on the ceiling but we never saw them on. 2- In one of our 2 rooms, the a/c was not working and in the other one it was too cold. The a/c was repaired on our 3rd morning there. 3- The same room also had a broken small refrigerator that was leaking, there was a large water puddle by the foot of the bed when we arrived, this happened again on the second day. They fixed the leaking, however, it never worked well enough to cool the drinks in it. 4- The beach towels are available on two places only and both are quite a distance from the guests rooms; they should be available in more areas. 5- We had to split our family twice due to specialty restaurants' adults only nights, even though our minor is 17 years old and looks like 19. Having dinner without children is pleasant, but maybe the age should be lowered to 15 and over.

Not in Montego Bay as advertised...

Overall i enjoyed Jamiaca. I would come back to visit the country, but not to the same resort. If you must visit here, i recommend you stay at the lady Hamilton side. Its more up to date. I found the 1 of the 3 beaches nice, aside from the jerked chicken hut at the sunset cove beach. I found the food to be just ok and the deserts just awful. Whether it was cheesecake or tiramisu, it tasted like flan. We found the staff attentive and nice but mostly the women or the men who were servers. The front desk was extremely slow and sometimes calling them from the room the phone would ring for 10 mins before anyone answered. My gf and i were here for her 30th birthday. We both work in hospitality. I work for a hotel in nyc as a bellman/doorman and shes worked in hiltons in the us and as a bartender in nyc now. We both are accustomed to tipping. We didnt appreciate grounds crew members who either just said hi or maybe pointed us to a place we asked was, for a tip...Also at check in, we inquired about an upgrade to the lady Hamilton side and we knew it was a certain amount a night extra, but the front desk agent said he could apply the switch if we helped him out as well. That was including the upgrade fee lol. Theres many more resorts closer to town and atttactions. Also disappointed that no liquor in minibar. Just beer (2 redstripe 2 bud light) water, and sodas. They also adverised premium alcohol but thats only offered in one bar on the whole property. Not worth it. Stay elsewhere.

Nice Resort, I only wish they had blankets. The pool was great it would be awesome if the jacuzzis were working. I loved the sports bar. The food variety was nice...but it looked as if they shift the Same menu from dining room to dining room. The shows were really nice. I do see the need for some upgrades. Overall everything thing was great

No privacy in room nor bathroom. AC did not work. Poor water pressure. Comfortable bed and beautiful balcony. Nice restaurants with variety. Misplaced reservation and was on lady Hamilton side. Loved the pool and beach.

Cons: distance to the food
Location: went swimming with the dolphins
Enjoyed it very much. Only thing i would recommend is more beer selection and top shelf liquor

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is the Best!

Pros: The staff and their Customer Service.... and more importantly, the friendliness of the Jamaican people who work there!
Cons: Water pressure is lacking at peak shower times...
Location: Absolutely a awesome location that displays the beauty of Jamaica!
For the first (and last) time, I booked our trip through Expedia. I was unaware that Expedia has some suspect practices on their web site which caused our booking to have been on the Jamaica side of the Grand Palladium even though I searched only on the Lady Hamilton. Then upon arrival in Montego Bay I learned that our transportation covered only the airport to resort even though the web site implied it to be round trip. Then the bus we were loaded on made a 30 minute "comfort stop" at a little shop allowing them to sell drinks, food, etc. even though we were only 10 minutes from arrival at the Grand Palladium...... But this is where the staff at the Lady Hamilton made everything better! After realizing the night before our departure when I printed our itinerary that Expedia had booked us on the Jamaica side I phoned the Palladium directly and spoke with Judith, a reservations manager requesting an upgrade to the LH - she told me "don't worry Mr. York, we will work it out when you arrive". When we arrived we learned that Judith had already given us a complimentary upgrade and moved our booking to the LH side. This was no easy task since the resort was full and we requested two rooms side by side off the ground floor.
