Great experience

The hotel was great . There were some minor let downs but overall I would highly recommend this resort . The pools and beach are nice. The food is mostly good. Bubba's steak house was our favorite .

Birthday Celebration in April!

My husband and I spent four days and three nights at GP Lady Hamilton. Our overall experience was pleasurable. Here are the pros: -beautiful rooms, cleaned and restocked minibar daily (we had a suite in building 37) -beautiful resort with amazing views (minor touch ups needed in various areas but maintenance visible all the time) -activities staff during the day at both the swimming pool as well as the beach were very engaging and pleasant -a la carte steak house has the best steak and mussels -jerk hut at the beach was delicious -beach water sports were sways available Needs improvement: -Buffet food was just okay. We only went for breakfast. Fresh raw juice bar wasnt staffed. And wait staff were not friendly except at the omelet stations. -consider a closer restroom at the beach. The current closest one is two flights of stairs back near the bar -attendants for drinks on the beach so those two flights don't spoil my relaxation -friendlier staff needed. Paula at the infiniti bar was hands down the most pleasant Jamaican we met! Everyone else was just working -night shows by comparison to many other resorts we've visited could use some polishing, lights, props and refreshing costumes. No real cons as again our stay was amazing but my two cents to get this place to the five star mark!!!!

Excellent ocean front room

I stayed in honeymoon suite which has the most amazing view. It also had a huge jacuzzi and outside shower. I recommend this place to anyone

Pros: I liked the room - gorgeous and clean, with newer accommodations.
Cons: The staff and their general attitude towards guests. The cracked older wood pieces on the balconies. The food, except the omelette station
Location: The location was 40 minutes from the airport and the ride was a commercial for sponsor a child and the SPCA, combined.
3 New Yorkers on a vacation for a birthday. It started with the first person who took our bags. Apparently she hates her job. When asked about options other than leaving our bags in the wide open area, instead of somewhere separated and private, we were told 'if you don't want it here, then don't leave it here' ( angry glare) Followed by a meal that was forgettable - except for the mandatory hand sanitizer distribution line. The week was summarized by employees who don't like their job. If we found friendly staff, they either were: A) selling spa services B) males with their hands and eyes in places that require a shower following. (one of our guests, was told by an employee, 'I like that body, I want it for me' YUCK)

Excellent hotel and facilities

Pros: The facilities, the Villa concept , the grounds landscape and the attentiveness of the hotel staff Food was good
Cons: Review and Continuous improvement of your own policies, procedures and processes is always good practice
Location: Excellent location in between Montego Bay and Negril
Our experience was great having done the day rate on two occasions it was good to experience the all inclusive stay. We had a wonderful time more tan what we expected.

Average all inclusive resort

Pros: The room was very nice and our housekeeping staff did a good job. The bed was great and we loved the outdoor shower area.
Cons: Meals were just OK. They should be improved in terms of quality and options.
Location: If you're staying in the bungalows, you can use the lounge huts to the west side of the main beach area. They are very nice. A trip to Negril is fun.
The Grand Palladium is a nice, all inclusive resort. We stayed in a honeymoon suite because it was the only way I could be guaranteed an ocean front room. The room was very nice, although I would have preferred having one on the top floor rather than on the ground level. Staff said that they were all booked for the week, but it didn't appear to be case. Our room worked out fine though. There are several restaurants to choose from. The steak house was best, but others were OK too. None were outstanding. The buffets were fine for breakfast and most lunches. Our main disappointment was the beach. Having stayed in Negril 8 years ago, I expected lots of fine sand for long walks. However, the beaches around the resort were mostly rock outcrops and not something you could safely walk on. What sand there was tended to be coarse rather than soft and fine like Negril. You can't tell that from the pictures on the web site.

Hotel ran out of towels. All services were very slow. Restaurants were not good. Hotel is becoming run-down. Needs a lot of cosmetic upgrades. Wi-fi did not work.

Very nice place. This is a very big resort. You have to walk alot to get to the restaurants. The great thing is you are surrounded by the beach. There were no good restaurants on the resort. For a big place like this they need better restaurants. The service is great. The spa is great.

It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, everything was clean, the food was good, and I couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

if you are looking for Paradise.. this is not it.

Pros: some of the beaches were nice, very large pool,
Cons: the food was avg.. at best.
Location: we took a side trip to Negril, Ricks Café, it felt like we may be mugged at any moment.. not a place for a family at all.
this was my first trip to Jamaica, the hotel seemed a little outdated, needing some minor repairs, many lights out, many things needed re-painted, avg at best. As soon as we arrived we were presented a letter from the hotel that says if anyone approaches and tries to sell you narcotics or Marianna please let security know. I thought that was an odd beginning to the trip, I soon saw why, from the bell crew to the waiters in the buffet.. everyone was trying to solicit pot, the kept bothering me and my wife, saying wouldn't you like to make your trip EXTRA special, it happened over and over again, I felt uncomfortable the entire time... the place has a sketchy feeling.. its the first time I have every had this feeling on vacation, if you are a partier, and want to smoke a lot of Marianna, this is the place for you. I will not be returning to Jamaica.

All this is done so as to enhance the product as well as to maintain the aesthetic of the buildings. We pride our self as a family oriented resort, one which as a zero tolerance policy in respect to the consumption or sale of all narcotic substances, including marijuana all of which barring none, continues to be strictly prohibited by the law of Jamaica. In recent times, it was brought to the attention of management that some team members were engaging in this illicit practice, which is contrary to the local laws as well as to the written policies and procedures in which they are trained and constantly briefed. The letter in question is a preventative strategy used by management to identified employees and guests who are involved in such practices. The safety of our guests is an important priority, and we work every day in this matter to ensure that this objective is met. At the Grand Palladium hotel, we try at all times to exceed guests’ expectations and to turn them into lifelong fans. We aim at all times to ensure their holiday experience is a “Grand” and “Memorable” one. It is regrettable you did not communicate any of your issues to management while you were on property. Nonetheless, we appreciate and valuable your feedback and will be discussing and finding other creative ways in addressing all the highlighted issues, with the intention of having them resolved. We trust that you will give us the opportunity to host you again, and you will be positively surprised about all strides we have made in different areas of the resort.
