Pros: I loved the staff and how it was on the beach.
Cons: The food was a little spicie
Location: the falls shopping the beach hourse back riding
It was a a good time. I went with my best friend and we loved our time. the staff was grate. we danced two nights. we was on the pool lot. we just loved our stay.

Hotel on a beautiful beach.

We love this resort. This was our second time staying at Jewels Dunn. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

The bed is too low very uncomfortable. I requested twice about the room nothing done about it

Great place!

Just got home from Jewel Dunn's and we enjoyed every minute. Beautiful location. Busy but not crowded, always able to get a lounger by the pool or on the beach. Food and drinks were great. Garnet and Morris (bartenders) are the Jewel's of the Jewel. Stayed March 2017 as a couple.

Wonderful resort in Ocho Rios!

Pros: Staff made an effort to get to know our names. Very friendly. Great drinks! Jamaican Smile is my favorite! Free shuttle to/from airport.
Cons: The Internet did not work very well for the most part. I struggled to make calls pretty often. The power went out a few times for some reason.
Location: The beach is nice! Not very big though. Dunn's River Falls is nearby. Plenty of opportunities for excursions and trips!
My friend and I spent a full week here just last week. Everything went really smoothly. I thought it would be hard to locate the shuttle but it was remarkably easy; immediately after customs, they literally escort you to the shuttle (bonus that it's included from and to the airport). Almost immediately after arriving at the resort, you're handed a drink, so if that's any indication of what you're in for, I don't need to say much more than that. We stayed in the emerald green room on the ground floor. The room was ready and put together when we arrived. There's a mini-fridge that's restocked daily with water, pop, juice, and so on. There's plenty of variety as far as the food is concerned; some of them feature the same items daily while others have a rotating menu. The drinks were all really good; the major benefit of having them included is that you can try whatever you'd like and not feel guilty about not liking it (unless you're the type that hates wasting alcohol). My friend got a massage and I got a facial, and they were both wonderful. Overall, I would probably stay here again!

Hotel was good once we got there

Pros: Location, ease of access to the beach.
Cons: Keeping better eye on inventory. Tough to be bumped when you are in a foreign country.
Location: Just a few miles from Ocho Rios and Dunns River Falls. You must climb the Falls!
We found out when we arrived at the airport that they had oversold the Jewel Dunns River Resort for the first night of our stay. They sent us to a sister property for the first night and then did not transport us to JDR until the next afternoon. Once we arrived, there was no apology or concern for any of our inconvenience. Only when my husband went down to let them know that our A/C wasn't working, he also mentioned that our vacation had not started off well. They offered $100 room credit for our troubles, which was nice except that we found out later from another couple (who were also bumped_ that they were pretty demanding and received a couples massage valued at $190. I guess my husband should have been more demanding. We did meet two other couples who were bumped that first night who all booked through Expedia- coincidence?? Once we were able to get settled and finally start relaxing, the resort was great. Plenty of chairs available at both the beach and pool. Staff members constantly circulating, clearing empty cups, and maintaining grounds. Spa staff were walking around trying to drum up business, but they weren't too pushy. Music by the main pool was probably too loud, but for the crew in that pool, they all sounded like they were having a great time. Food was OK- pretty American with a few Caribbean flavors. All in all, it was a great trip. If we return to Jamaica, we would consider staying there again...if we knew that the resort was not overbooked.

A 4 Star Resort with 2 Star accommodations...

Pros: The staff members, bartenders, servers and even the cleaning staff were all wonderful and helpful. Despite the rain, they made our stay enjoyable.
Cons: Management slow to address problems. Spa workers roamed the resort aggressively trying to get customers. I was asked 16 times for spa service.
Location: Many attractions close by, JTB shuttles are great. Go on Friday or Sat when no cruise ships are in port.
The resort has beautiful grounds. The front of the resort grounds were teaming with lush tropical gardens and trees. The walking paths were well maintained and there were many birds including peacocks that roamed the grounds. The rear of the hotel has a large well maintained beach with chairs and cabanas. This resort had everything I wanted except a quite comfortable room. My mini-fridge only contained 2 sodas and a pineapple juice. There room itself was spacious, except the shower/lavatory. The toilet was 6 inches from the wall and the paper rolls take 5 inches. I'm average size and touched the wall when seated. I had to remove the rolls from the holders just to sit down. The ceilings in the sink area were water-damaged and had mildew on them. The in-room coffee pot takes roughly 45 min to brew a 4 cup pot. The hairdryer was missing and off/off switch. The view of my balcony was a rooftop junkyard filled with air-conditioner parts, trash and numerous electrical safety code violations. The worst part was the AC fans 10 ft from my pillow. I listened to them on the balcony and could here them quite well in bed. I told staff at front desk I had no water in my fridge. They said call room service. That's when I found out my room phone didn't work. It took 3 days and a conversation with the manager to get my phone working. He promised a small credit and an upgrade for our last day. No upgrade and was asked for written proof of the credit at checkout..

No problem mon, you're in Jamaica!

Pros: Adults only, very relaxing and staff were exceptional. Water (non motorized) sports were included and plentiful, also seating around pools and beach.
Cons: Beach is too small for longer walks. (I checked others in the area and most were similar)
Location: The "Falls", shopping etc at Ocho Rios, lots there to do. City cabs with red plates are insured and trained drivers $1.00 American, NICE! Beach onsite
Staff was 99% GREAT! Generally friendly overall and really worked hard at getting it right. Food was generally good, in some places really good and others were OK, so, no problem. Mid 80's and found quite a lot to do there at the facility included. For the cost, one of the better "all inclusives" we've found anywhere, mostly as I've said before, because of the staff attentiveness. Great for adults to get away and relax.... If your looking for perfect sterile buildings, all shiny and brand new, this will probably not suit your tastes, overall very nice inside and out, comfortable.....

Beautiful boutique hotel

I love the hotel in general. The beach is small but clean. The rooms have gorgeous views and we were actually upgraded. The food was great and the drinks even better.Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.
