Only issue I had with this place, was the fact that I paid for a room in the courtyard area; and was placed in a more outdated area of the resort, where I was lied to, saying it’s an “upgrade”. When I asked someone who was staying in the courtyard area of the area was more modern, they said yes. Which you can simply tell from the outside, that looks newly renovated. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend going to this resort. It’s very intimate, the vibes are nice and right.

We had an amazing time. This resort is worth it it’s amazing and beautiful. The pictures don’t give this place justice you need to go there and experience it. This is a honest review and everything is included in your room. Bars and restaurants and clubs open tell 2am. Entertainment was amazing. Drinks was strong and amazing. They made our 1year anniversary weekend memorable.

The hotel room was dirty, there was a smell that was so unbearable, we ended up checking out a day earlier. Even though house cleaning came and mop, there was a scent we could not stand. We had to leave.

The property was very clean, beautiful and well maintained, the entrainment team was amazing, front desk team was very pleasant. Dining room team wasn’t that warm and friendly however Stephanie was exceptionally, she provided great hospitality and customer service. I would return just because of the service I received from Stephanie.

The hotel smells bad, we didn’t even check in because the place looks dirty. The staff were very nice but I couldn’t stay. It looked nothing like the website. The food was nasty. I had to pay $$1142.00 to go to a different hotel. Would never recommend to anyone I know.

Dependant on where you are on the property, the noise from the main road is quite disturbing at night. I'm not sure if there's designated smoking/non -smoking rooms - but unfortunately we were disturbed by a couple who smoked quite heavily - which was our bad luck too, but something to be considered. Also, more sun loungers for the beach areas are needed - there is plenty of space to accommodate this, and they are poorly maintained - this needs to be improved. A little more attention to cleaning of the rooms (e.g the lampshades were dusty ) required, extra hangers, hand towels to be distributed - we did ask for these items,but they never materialised. The garden areas around the rooms are beautifully maintained, with beautiful native plants and vegetation. Staff are friendly and helpful though!

I enjoyed the omelette station and pasta station and smoothies as options at the buffet. I appreciate that they had pineapple and cranberry juice to mix with bar drinks. I went in expecting a bit more of a basic experience since it isn’t a 4 or 5 star place but it was good, price was a good value. I appreciate that the staff was polite (would you like some wine my lady).

This was our second ( and last) trip to the Royal Decameron if you read the other reviews both positive and negative they are all accurate. We liked The size ,236 rooms makes it intimate The 4 bays plus the 2 pools make acess to the water easy What we didn't like The lack of smiles from the staff and the quality of the service. Simple things like getting coffee in the morning was often an ordeal.I dont blame the staff for their dispositions.They clearly have not been given the resources they need to be successful.

There was nothing about it saff was rude from check in beach area dirty beach bar the staff was playing a lot of rude songs the food was awful and the room I was disappointed customer service none bar staff dining room staff rude in one sentence hotel need to close down

The property is in need of repairs. Outdated and worn facilities and amenities. We didn't sleep the two nights the noise coming from the road is such a nuisance. Toilets don't flush properly. Just a waste of time and money.

I like how convenient it was to get there close to the main. So the location was good..they need a more variety of food there wasn't a lot to chose from.. at the bar the drinks were water down which i never like. That might be ok for some but not us

Enjoyed our stay here for the first time. We booked after staying in Ocho for the week.The food was pleasant and overall a very quiet resort. It may have been the choice of season for the lack of guests but it was my gf bday so we decided on this last min. They have kayaking on site which we had a blast doing along with a short small boat ride Overall good stay we may return ☺️ oh and drinks are LIT!

I love that there is local food to choose from but disappointed there was no Red Stripe beer or Wray and Nephew white rum. Cottage was nice and lots of hot water. Nothing fancy but thats what we prefer. You feel like you're in Jamaica. We have been many times and will return.

The resort is as expected for a 3.5 rating. The older rooms (not huts) by the front entrance are rustic as in very basic and need upgrading. They smell fusty BUT despite being very, very old they are very clean. I moved to a renovated hut on my second night and it was huge, very bright, clean and comfortable. The beach was nice and the pool area had daily entertainment. The staff seemed a bit rude or defensive so customer service was not good. However the lady at the front desk was very helpful in finding an alternative room and the towel lady was lovely. The evening entertainment was varied. The beach party/show was very loud and music not appropriate to age group of majority of guests. The fire show was very amateur- just a few guys doing a dance routine and dancers wining and some fire eating. The food was terrible. They had no lettuce at lunchtime as they ran out! The special restaurants were fully booked but we got to eat in the Caribbean restaurant but they served the same buffet salad and we found out the buffet had served the same steak that we ordered in the specialty restaurant that particular night. They brought up a tiny piece of cake from the buffet for desert and there was still only one choice of red wine and one white wine. Four days was plenty at this resort. I suggest paying a bit more and staying at a better quality resort.

It seems like the older rooms near the front entrance could use some upgrading, but they were clean. The renovated hut you moved to was spacious and comfortable. The beach and pool area were enjoyable, although the customer service from the staff could be improved. The front desk lady and towel lady were helpful and friendly. The evening entertainment had a variety, although some performances were not up to par. Unfortunately, the food experience was disappointing, with limited options and repeated dishes. Based on your review, it may be worth considering a higher-quality resort for future stays. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

The first red flag was checking in, arrived at 15:30 only to be told that my room wasn’t ready so I got a meal from the grill bar and returned to the front desk at 16:15 and the room still wasn’t ready. After voicing my displeasure about the situation I got a room at 16:30. The whole complex could do with a facelift especially the exterior of the rooms. The pictures that are shown for promotional purposes aren’t a true reflection of the actual property. I tried to reserve the la carte dinner only to be told it was fully booked for 2 days. I tried to book in advance but it was always fully booked. I had dinner at 19:30 was hardly anything left so I’ll go for 18:30 from now on. Seems like there’s a staff shortage, they’re definitely overworked but remain friendly and courteous kudos to them. The food was very bland at best and on a few occasions I opted to buy food elsewhere, some salt and pepper on the food would make a big difference. The TV and phone in the room didn’t work, this was reported to reception and someone came after 3 days to say that the TV has a fault and didn’t come back. The room towels and beach towels always seem to be in short supply. One morning I was on the beach and returned to the room only to find that my room door was left unlocked by the cleaning staff. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
