Nice motel

Posted Jan 31, 2016
Pros: The tropical feeling. The food and coffee. The entertainment staff.
Cons: Bathroom a little out dated and could stand some painting. Did not like the idea of paying for computer internet time.
Location: We stayed right at the resort.
Stay was nice. The room could of stand a little maintenance. One night music was a little loud. The beach was clean but not a lot to walk on.

Ok seafront hotel.

Posted Jan 29, 2016
Pros: The reason we booked was the type of room, individual detached rooms in a garden setting.
Cons: Booking system.
Location: Numerous tours offered to suit everyone.
Initial impression of this hotel was very bad due to not being given prebooked room due to overbooking. Therefore expectations lowered, had to move after 24 hours therefore not relaxed. Temporary room offered was unacceptable and and spent two hours until acceptable room offered. This overbooking seemed to happen on a regular basis. Otherwise food was mostly good, rooms good and failities good. Entertainment staff were very good.

Great hotel right on the ocean

We had a great time and the staff was amazing. Only downside is that this hotel is about an hour and a half away from the airport and the food was nothing to go crazy for.

Good Jamaica experience - has the funk

Posted Jan 13, 2016
Pros: Great staff. All-inclusive food and drink makes your stay entirely worry-free!
Cons: Update the cottages, or at least wet-mop the floors regularly. Improve menus at the restaurants.
Location: We enjoyed a lunch excursion to Sharkie's, a beach dive nextdoor, and would highly recommend it. But going out after dark seemed a little scary.
We booked this hotel for 1) good weather, 2) snorkeling from the beach, 3) a laid-back all-inclusive experience. It was very good at all three. We stayed 5 nights in January and the weather could not have been any better--80s during the day and 70s at night. We specifically sought Runaway Bay location for snorkeling from the beach. The reefs reachable from the beach were in bad shape and the absence of large fish was kinda sad but, still, we really enjoyed being able to swim 100 or 200 yds offshore, enjoy the underwater sights, then retire back to the beach bar for rum and beer. Food and drink were good although not great. There is an eggs-to-order station at bkfst and plenty of fresh fruit. And the coffee is awesome! and always available. Lunch is usual buffet fare plus good jerk chicken. The dinner buffet also includes freshly grilled chicken as well as a carving station. I think I had my favorite dessert, cheesecake, every night. There are 2 restaurants that you can make reservations for, still part of the all-inclusive package. The food there was mediocre and I would recommend sticking with the buffet. Love the staff. All very friendly and attentive. The downside. We were excited about the cottages. You get either a cramped queen bedroom with a separate living area or the entire hut is a king. We had the cramped version. Being old is OK as long as the rooms are clean. Our cottage could have used a thorough mopping. We had a great time at this funky resort.

Short stay

Posted Jan 12, 2016
Accommodation was ok however me and husband did not enjoy the service provided in the buffet area. Only down fall was servers took too long to serve us drinks so we decided not to eat there again. Otherwise it was an ok stay but wont be returning in the future.

Nice hotel, friendly staff

Great cozy hotel. Courteous staff, well manicured lawns and its right at the beach. Beware of jellyfish though, they give a mean sting.
