Beautiful grounds and beach.Furniture outdated but seen some being replaced.Food selection repetitive,carbs a plenty.Jerk chicken magnificent. Would like more local fruits and vegetables,but one can survive as is.Stayed here over 12x in the past.Bring back The Mento Band,and change up music over P/A. Local radio might be fun.Thanks for your hospitality again RDMB

Outdated, they manually check guest in on paper, still using keys to your room and safe anyone can easily make copies. My room has outdated furniture with dents and scratches, the sliding door to the patio has missing handles and was very difficult to open. The bathroom has no toilet paper holder, no bathroom rugs to step on when getting out the shower, missing shower curtain rings, no cooler in the room with one bottle of room temperature water for two guest. Tile floor throughout the bedroom with no rugs when getting out the bed. Running out of food at the beach snack shack, stayed four nights and was not able to get what I wanted at the snack shack. At breakfast, lunch and dinner you have to stand in line to give your room number every time you eat which they also manually write down on a piece of paper. Checking out was the time because I’m leaving, they also have to go through a list of papers to find your name to check you out. I would not recommend that place to anyone or would I consider going back!!!

Rooms very clean and spacious the pictures don’t do the size of the rooms justice. Get garden view suites huge. Sauna wasn’t working while I was present and they were just hit by a hurricane the week before so some of the facilities and beaches were affected. Over all stay pretty good.

All rooms have a spectacular view of the Caribbean. There are a couple stretches of beautiful beach on the property. Trivia, bingo, and other games at the pool were fun. The buffet had an adequate selection of Jamaican dishes, fruit, and desserts. The nightly entertainment varied from singers and dancers to a magician.

1 staff out 3 was pleasant and courteous. The staff working at the front desk were the worst. Very rude, unwilling to help. It’s like they don't like working there. the staff at the bar and restaurants were nice and professional. overal if i was visiting Montego bay again. i would never book my stay at the Royal decameron again. or recommend them to a friend

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Ants crawling out the side and bath tub, not just a few but, a whole army crawling up/ out the sink. The place is run down, out dated, rusty and needs a good paint job. The staff was overall pretty nice, management admitted to the changing of the room, wouldn’t make a difference because, they’re all the same!! Sad!! The bar staff was very respectful, kind and made our stay entertaining, by telling jokes. The place overall, is very boring compared to other places. Honestly, Jamaica is a beautiful island so, we just sat and looked out in the ocean, enjoyed the beach and other guests by making conversation, mostly about never staying there again. Everyone agreed. The near by property is much better, thankfully so, we walked over a few times and was granted access to dine and enjoy their cafe. Geez, couldn’t believe we stuck it out. Highly recommend NOT booking this location. 2star disappointment

I enjoyed my time there. The staff were amazing!! The property was clean and i enjoyed the live evening entertainment. The only complaint i have is the food good be better. The food at their restaurant was very good. There was a large variety of food choices but the food lacked taste at times.

The property was dated but clean. The staff were very friendly. The food was amazing. The biggest problem was getting towels and toilet paper. They seemed to have a shortage of these basic things and not put them in the room when the room was cleaned. When I asked the front desk for them I had to wait until the next day when room service came in the late afternoon. This created a lot of problems.

We had to book with another property because after 6 hours of waiting they still didn’t not have a room for us. In those 6 hours we decided to go eat and drink but that didn’t happen either. It was supposed to be all inclusive but the buffet barely had food and there was hardly ever a bartender at any of the bars. The hotel is nothing like the pictures. EXTREMELY inconvenient and an overall terrible experience. Don’t be fooled like I was.

Be aware the entire beachfront area of the hotel is currently not accessible and cannot be used as of March 5. Oceanfront rooms have a view of sand bags and construction as the hotel continues to repair from storm in early Feb. Guests must use the property of the sister hotel Cornwall next door and share the beach there. The property is currently very difficult for those with mobility disabilities to visit. Rooms are in bad shape and overall lack of any maintenance done in the rooms or on property.

Was there 8 years ago..rooms same, need updated, but were clean, just old.. not enough staff in dining room, had to get own drinks, napkins. Need activuties at stage area in evening..nothing to do after dinner, pools closed at 5, entertainment started at 9:30. Have stayed there 5 times, us in a safe location on hip strip. Would stay there again. Remember its star rating, is not a five star. Don't go there expecting top shelf and quality!

Staff was fantastic, food was great, everything was great. Property was damaged by a recent storm and there's a fair bit of maintenance ongoing but they are working hard at that as well. Nightly entertainment was better than expected, you won't get bored here. Aside from leaving a book there I can't say anything but good things about our experience, we plan on coming back!

Pros: Entrance/Front desk area was nice. Beaches, water, and snorkeling were beautiful. Cons: Two out of the three bars on property were always closed. 2 restaurants on the property, one was closed down the day after we got there for renovations, leaving one restaurant for the whole property. All you can eat buffet was open for breakfast, lunch, dinner for only 2 hour increments and kept running out of food each time. Fitness Center was always locked. I understand the resort was dealing with the aftermath of a storm, but the property was under constant construction and very noisy. Caution tape everywhere. Ran out of water bottles. Denied bottled soda. Had to spend money at the all-inclusive resort’s gift shop to get water, drinks, and limited snacks. No elevators.

Very average Pay for what you get Staff was very nice, so 5/5 for that But the room was very outdated; it however wasn’t an issue for me as I was not in the room for most of the time. Beach was also good.

This was not a bad stay but the rooms are definitely old and needs a lot of work done , had a ant issue and the restroom sink was stopped up my whole stay staff is friend location is ok I probably wouldn’t stay again

Property is in need of general maintenance. Staff could do with customer service training. Food was cold and mainly left overs from the previous meal. Due to a cold front (storm) we had to stay inside the building as the beaches were closed off and dangerous. The staff, including the entertainment team, had no idea on how to engage the guests. I have stayed at the property over the years but this occasion was extremely disappointing and not worth the money. The cold food gave me diahorrea the entire 4 days of my stay. Do not pay your money to stay at this hotel.

Booked a King room with an Ocean View - after 4 hour wait for our room we received a double bed, very limited view of the ocean (all tree's). Room was off on an extended part of the property. Limited, meals times. Needed to be there promptly when then opened, they did not replenish items with limited choices. With the 5 bars on both property's limited times they were open. Only had limited items to choose from, would think in Jamaican you would be able to get a Jamaican beer only had Presidente (Domican beer). Was told by bartenders cold go purchase Jamaican beer a cross the street.

Our room phone never worked at all, we had no face towels, it was sooo LOUD outside our room by locals playing music ALL NIGHT LONG, the sauna never worked at all, jacuzzi hot tub wasn’t hot, and at 8pm buffet food was nearly GONE, and no more food was coming out. ALL THE STAFF IS GREAT AND ENTERTAINMENT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! We still enjoyed ourselves!
