Dear Valued Guest, I must humbly apologize to you for not getting the remote for the television, it should have been given to you at check-in. I have spoken to my front office staff and is sure this will never recur. Some of our rooms carry a unique shower system, we ask our check-in agent to give a demonstration to our valued guest upon arrival to their rooms. With regards to the noise from other rooms, we are sorry, however, we have since asked our security to speak to those guest should there be a recurrence. So sorry about the rain, we can only wish for better climate. We have since made a significant change with our internet provider and the WiFi is working perfectly. We must thank you for your comments as this gives us the opportunity to make the necessary corrections and improve our property so our Guests will have the comfort, happiness and relaxation they well deserve. It was our greatest pleasure in hosting you and look forward to your continued business. Warmest regards,

Very nice private settingPosted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Clean room - good local breakfast - peaceful setting
Cons: shower hardware should be less complicated
Location: Setting is excellent - small, private hotel.
We will give them a second chance - but 1st visit - no tv remote, ac remote broken, very complicated shower to operate, but once you get the hang of it it's fine. Breakfast was great. Ours was a scheduled one night layover visit, but next time we'll make it a longer stay since the atmosphere was very peaceful. Looks like good security.

Nice hotel but out of the wayPosted Jan 9, 2015 on Hotels
Great little hotel but out of the way so great for a quiet retreat. Nice people, nicely manicured lawns; small pool. Breakfast was included and great local food. Lunch / dinner on your own. Main issue is that the villa is out of the way so challenging to get a transfer from the airport; also 20 minutes uphill/downhill walk to a nice private beach. No sidewalk and scary traffic so better take a taxi and costs anywhere from $3-$5 to get to the beach one way. If you have a car, it may work well.

Quick birthday get away.Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Everything see my other comments
Cons: a hot tub or bigger pool
Location: beach a short car ride, sightseeing 15-30 minute car ride either direction.
The hotel was off the main strip of road so really quiet. The staffs at the villa are excellent, really accommodating and had really nice insight into the local area, between them and trip advisor we had everything covered. We rented a car to get around sense we knew the Villa weren’t a big resort. We have been to Jamaica on several trip but stay mostly at the all-inclusive resort so this was a big charge. Let me just say the rules of the road are suggestion in Jamaica. The Villa did not disappoint from the traditional Jamaica breakfast to the balcony overlooking the pool, the grounds were beautifully maintain and it seem like the staff were always busy keeping it clean. But no so much that they were in the way, I hardly saw them but knew they spent a lot of time making sure things were nice. . Security was great with 24 hour guard on duty to patrol the property and to make sure the cars were safe. My wife and I felt really safe as if we were in any upscale neighborhood in the states. If you looking for a nice place that quiet not expensive and you want to connect with your significant other you will really like this place. We plan on going back sometime this coming year just to unwind.

Wonderful staff, ok accommodationsPosted Dec 15, 2014
The Villa Sonate was a good place to staff for the few days I stayed there. The staff were amazing!! However, it was really quiet and less posh than expected.

Nice stay in Runaway BayPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels
Stayed here while visiting some different locations in the Runaway Bay area. Staff was very inviting and accommodating, making the stay enjoyable. The included breakfast was a nice way to start the day. The location of the hotel is the only setback. Quite a way from the highway and the roads leading to it are not in good shape, yet authentically Jamaican. We had a rental car and we were always able to park in their gated lot without issue. We'll stay here again without hesitation.
