My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, restful B&B for four nights. What a kind and helpful family! Niccolo spent time with us helping us with directions and other useful information. The garden was a beautiful place to relax away from the crowds. The breakfast was perfect! We will certainly come back!

Charming hotel

Posted Oct 13, 2018 on Hotels
Very charming family-run boutique hotel, with gardens to match. Parking provided was convenient. The staff were lovely and happy to give us advice on how to best spend our time in Tuscany. The hotel is in walking distance of the historic town centre, and the staff gave us good recommendations for restaurants. We were travelling with another couple and were given a suite with two private bedrooms with bath, plus a shared sitting area, which was very nice. Breakfast was served in a lovely room and had substantial selection, including made to order coffees. The only complaints were that there was noise from the other room below us (the area itself is very quiet), and the hotel does not allow any food or drink in the rooms, which is strange since we were in the wine region and would have liked to enjoy a glass of wine in our sitting room. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Thank you very very much for your nice review! In the sitting area it's not possible to make pic nic or dinner because it's a bed and breakfast not an appartment but it's obvioulsy possible to drink a glass of wine and enjoy some local food. Best!

Unique experience in lovely boutique hotel just outside walls of Montepulciano. Blissfully quiet and relaxing. Pleasant gardens.

Great short stay in Tuscany

Posted Sep 8, 2018 on Hotels
Fabulous family run Albergo really conveniently located within walking distance of the old town of Montepulciano. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and the sweet figs from their large garden grounds were a real treat. A great short stay for us in Tuscany

Magnificent mountain top

Pros: We particularly loved the excellent breakfasts. Also, Niccolo, the owner’s son was particularly friendly and helpful. He arranged a driver for us
Cons: Delightful in every way!
Location: We particularly enjoyed hiking through the surrounding olive groves and vineyards and enjoying wine and aperitivo sat La Viniera up in the town
We arrived at the bus station not having a clue how to proceed when suddenly Amerigo says Ken’s name. We were so relieved.ll Rondo is a luxury albergo.Everything was perfect! Clean, quiet, charmingly Italian in its decor. We were presented with a glass of Persecco and a map with locations for touring. Lovely, picturesque surroundings.

A Gem in Montepulciano

Posted Oct 4, 2017 on Hotels
We have been in Italy for the last two weeks. Venice to Florence to Cinque Terra to Tuscany (Il Rondo) and now Rome. This was our favorite place to stay and recommend it highly for anyone interested in a great home base to explore and enjoy Tuscany. Il Rondo is located a short walk to Montepulciano and short drives to Cordona and Pienza as well as many great wineries. Nicolo and his family were the most welcoming and they provide the most warm, comfortable, and elegent stay. The room was quite large, extremely clean, and unique. You have a feel of Tuscany from the time you check in. Their guidance provided the most enjoyable stay including recommendations of the best restaurants and places to visit. We wish we would have stayed a few more days. We plan to return and spend more time in this lovely place.
