Nice old hotel but lots of noise

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: Nice linens, easy parking, great location
Cons: too noisy
Location: Carmel is a great town with plenty to do.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the location is great and the linens were wonderful! Because it is an old building though, the ceiling squeaks from the upstairs guests walking in their room, the stairs to the upstairs are noisy and late night revelers coming back to their rooms can be heard through thin walls. If you are looking for a quiet, private romantic get away this may not be the best choice. Oh, and we were in the deluxe building.

Comfortable and well located

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: Very comfortable hotel with nice amenities. Great location; walking distance to everything.
Cons: Soundproofing could have been better. Could hear people in adjoining rooms.
Location: Close to many shoppes and restaurants. Liked Friar Tucks for breakfast.

Good location, nice room with balcony, really light breakfast (1 coffee, 1 orange juice, 1 pastry, strawberries) served in the room.

Clean, dated rooms in a GREAT location.

Posted Oct 9, 2016
Hotel is in my favorite part of town. Right across the street from Casanova. Just down the street from Hog's Breath. Off street parking. Rooms, however are dated and in need of refreshing. Our bathroom door wouldn't close.

Cons: Instead of only offering breakfast being delivered to your room, set the food up in the lobby. This way you won't have to wait until you're scheduled.
Location: Great location.
It's a cute hotel in a good location. Limited breakfast that's delivered to your room.
