Nice but expensive for a Comfort Inn

Pros: Close to Cannery row and they offered a great choices for their free breakfast which is a plus.
Cons: Pricing and parking. It was tight parking but at least it was available.
Location: Cannery Row Whale Watching Monterey Bay Aquarium
This did the job, but it is located under flight path. If air traffic or sounds bother you then I would not recommend. It wasn't often but it was very audible when they were over the area. I paid too much $189 per night. It is now available for $160 :/ The weather was colder than we expected mid 60's at the end of July. There was also a fire so the area was very smokey and not as beautiful as I have seen on other trips to Monterey.

a place to sleep

It's little more than a place to sleep, which is all its meant to be. Clean, comfortable with the extras you'd expect for the price.

Proximity and Neigjborhood

Mostly occupied by general contractors who double park, forcing other guests to park on unsafe streets. This motel lacks the proper number of parking spaces required for the number of rooms they have. Shampoo bottle good for one person, safebox was out of order. We paid almost $200 for one room and wished it was like their other hotel locations in Reno. But you don't always get what you pay for. Robert was the only best frontdesk person that was very helpful.

Nice hotel close to everything.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed comfort was not my favorite but was not awful either. It is close to a busy road so traffic noise is present. For the price and convenient location I would stay here again. Definitely recommend.

motel with hotel prices

Pros: only the flowers around the reception room
Cons: buldoze it and make a better one on same location
Location: Monterey is so-so; but Carmel nearby is a beauty
we did not stay in the 1-storey rooms row, but on 1st floor of the 2-levels buildings...terrible...construction is not soundproofed and we could not sleep all night because of the family with kids above us being noisy and running back and forth all night also the breakfast room has tables for 10 people max...others have to wait outside until room becomes available for them

close to the hwy,shops,and other activities

Pros: everything
Location: near everything that a person would like to do, easy to get to the highway but noy close enough to hear the noise
better than what i expected,clean room good breakfest will stay there again

Carpet needs shampoo. The guest upstairs are noisy.

Conveniently located

Pros: Hotel was clean and conveniently located to Carmel and Carmel by the Sea just 15 mins by car.
Cons: Walls are thin, could hear people talking in the next room, but perhaps they were particularly loud. A few aircraft landing at the local airfield were
Location: Convenient to Carmel, Pebble Beach and Carmel by the Sea
Bed was comfortable and the rooms have small refrigerators, microwaves and coffee pots. Breakfast was good, with a choice of cereal, pastries, toast muffins, sausage and eggs. Juice and fresh brew coffee. The gentlemen keeping the breakfast room clean and stocked was doing an excellent job, but seating was scarce when a small bus group came in. Walls are thin, could hear people talking in the next room, but perhaps they were particularly loud. A few aircraft landing at the local airfield were loud, but not so many it bothered me. You can get complimentary ear plugs if you ask for them.

Close to everything

Close to everything. Good variety at breakfast. Couldn't hear the airplanes flying overhead unless the door was open. Beds were comfortable. Parking spaces are very narrow.
