Not worth your money

I became concerned when at check in I was asked to sign a paper confirming that I will pay the amount that I agreed to on Expedia. The place was a motel- it should be motel prices. The room was tiny and the pool was green. The breakfast was typical free breakfast with cereal/muffins/waffles. Nothing was walkable and honestly once you're in the car you can stay a little further away and either pay less or have a nice hotel. This place was a rip off. In addition, there were multiple hotels up and down the street with vacancies. No reason to book here unless you are paying motel prices. For a simple roadside motel it was fine and clean enough.

Cons: No
Location: Close to Fisherman's Wharf, beach, shopping, great restaurants. Great location, felt very safe and area was very clean.
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The room was large and clean. Very comfortable and nice. Especially for the money, we were impressed.

Pros: Convenient location - DelMonte shopping center right across the street
Cons: Breakfast room is very small & so crowded & hot in there!
Decent hotel - you get what you pay for. Very small pool & breakfast room, but great location & good for the price.

Comfort Inn Monterey

Pros: Just about everything.
Location: Convenient to just about everything. Monterrey is not tht big.
Above average motel as noted in my ratings above. Extras I liked were the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The only down side I found was the room was a little small. Not a deal breaker, but finding room for two suitcases if you are living out of them can be challenging.

Hotel for basic need

Pros: Room clean and breakfast is good. short driving to downtown.
Cons: Every front desk person should have same customer service as the young lady we met on Saturday afternoon.
Location: I do not think there are many things to do on walking distance but very short drive to downtown and restaurants.
We only stayed this hotel for one night. We arrived on Saturday afternoon. The front desk young lady is very pleasant and professional. The Check in is fast. We stayed on second floor since we have only had light luggage. Parking has no problem. There are many inns nearby. Most of them are same level. The room is good for our stay. It included all basics. TV, microware, small refrigerator, coffer machine. the room is clean. The bed is comfortable. Only one problem. the fire alarm is low on battery so it kept making noise at mid night. My husband has to make it not function so we can sleep. Next morning, when we check out we told the front desk a male clerk about it. There is no apologize from him. he just simply reply because it is out of battery. The breakfast is good. It include fruits and most simple breakfast items. overall, it is good for one night stay if you run out options.

Not worth the price

Pros: The location was close to the mall.
Cons: The rooms need to be updated and cleaned better. New fresh supplies should be in every room, not the half used ones from the previous traveler.
Location: Mall is right across the street with plenty of restaurants, shops and movie theater.
The room was small, outdated and not very clean. There were contact lens wrappers and used tissue from the previous traveler on the floor. The bathroom didn't have any washcloths or hand towels, only bath towels. There was black mold/mildew all along the frame of the shower door. Half of the complementary shampoo was missing from the bottle and was obviously used by the previous traveler. I was not comfortable in the room but I got to my room very late and was leaving by 6;00 am the next morning so it wasn't worth the hassle of changing rooms. The room was really over priced for what little they had to offer. Big hotel prices for a small motel stay.

Really nice beach hotel/motel!

Had a great kind of last minute experience @ this hotel. Very nice looking/inviting on the outside, but rooms & registration area clean, neat & pleasant. Though last minute, had the exact type of room we needed! Owner/Reception/Registrar was super nice & knowledgeable w/cards for free food.

Nice place for the money.

Great stay, the hotel is older but very, very well maintained. Only about 3 miles from the aquarium and Cannery Row.

Decent hotel

The room was okay. It was clean, but small. Breakfast area could use revamping. Bonus is that its close to shopping,wharf and Cannery Row.

Hotel is decent. Clean and well kept. Nothing fancy. Bonus refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was included and was very good. Eggs, sausage, waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, etc.
