Doing business in Watsonville - Highly Recommended

Pros: I liked the room - it wasn't small or crowded. It looked and smelled clean. My bed was very comfortable. I had every travel necessity on-hand.
Cons: Being off 152 has pros/cons. You can't sleep with your window open if it faces the roadway BUT you're in/out of there when your on the go. Sound-proof
Location: Easy to find-1 block from a great shopping center-Subway sandwich and Safeway were frequented-2 blocks from the airport.
***Very comfortable, quiet sleep experience, which is a priority for me! 1. Easy to find when traveling by car, found directly off highway 152. 2. Clean, well-lighted, safe parking. 3. Friendly day/night staff. 4. Elevator + Stairs. Not too big, not too small facility. 5. Clean room, no funky odors in the bathroom and sleeping areas. 6. Refrigerator, microwave. 7. Blow-dryer and good area for make-up, curling irons. 1 large mirror over sink + I large full-length mirror. 8. Ironing board and good working iron. 9. Plenty of outlets for all my electronics - good lighting around the bed. 10. Nice desk area for working on some business.

Friendly staff, very clean, rooms on the smallish side but adequate for our overnight stay, big refrigerator, remote location

This hotel is a good pick if you're looking for a cheaper place to stay rather than Santa Cruz or Monterey themselves. Only about 20-30 mins out from both, its a pretty good spot. Not a spot you want to go to if you want real rest and relaxation. The building is right next to a busy main street, you can hear cars at ALL hours of the day. We thought it would let up at night, nope. Our windows lock was also broken. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was okay. Would stay again if we needed a place to stop between places but not to necessarily relax.

Pros: n/a
Cons: cleaner rooms, would not put anyone in a room by the main city street.
Location: noise reduction window, clean out a/c so it wont smell
Hotel room next to main city street. very noisy in the middle of the night, a/c has odor smell, floor was filthy needed cleaning. Overall will not recommend to anyone else, the room was not worth it.

Nice place to stay after long drive

Room was clean. Beds comfy. Big large bath towels. Has fridge. Big screen TV. Breakfast in am. Easy free parking.

Clogged toilet that was not fixed by hotel

I checked into this hotel at 11pm. At 11.20pm I find out that the toilet is clogged. I call front desk, he says there is no one who can help, but he can give me a plunger to try to clean it myself! When talking to manager, he also mentioned that he was aware this room's toilet had a clogging problem. And yet he sold it out for $180 a night! Next day morning I talked to manager asking him for some monetary compensation. He said since I booked through expedia, I will have call expedia and they can give compensation through expedia. Later I called expedia customer service and the agent in turn called the hotel. the hotel person said that they had no notes about a clogged toilet and so could not give any compensation. Not only did I have a very bad hotel experience, but the hotel refused to take any responsibility for a problem they were aware of.

Lots of Noise

Pros: latte and cappuccino machine at the front desk
Cons: everything
Hotel is too close to the main road meaning lots of noise. We were not able to sleep cause cars sounded like it will come crushing into your room. Breakfast is ok. Sunny side up egg can be used as a coaster.

A good basic hotel in Watsonville area

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was comfortable and clean and the hotel was pretty quiet. I had a good night's rest and their complimentary breakfast is above average with real fried eggs. Would stay here again.
