Pros: Décor was nice.
Cons: Only one compliant about the Breakfast Buffet...sweet rolls were very dry.

Great hotel, provides comfort!Posted Nov 10, 2015
Having stayed at many Embassy Suites, this one is just as good as the others. Just a few areas of improvements: 1) They charge for parking even though they don't have enough handicap spots and we had to park quite a ways out - don't nickel and dime us especially when you have a wedding event and we, the hotel guests, can't find any parking spots; 2) They will give you free internet IF you're a Hilton Honors member, so sign up for the membership BEFORE you check in - internet should be just free!

Nice to smell the roses at homePosted Nov 2, 2015
Pros: View, breakfast, atmopshere.
Cons: The jacuzzi was not large enough for the size of the hotel and it was alway filled, I think they needed at least 2 medium size or a very large one.
Location: The location is ideal it's just by the beach and not far from restaurants ane night life.
I enjoyed my overnight stay, the hotel accomdated me at my request. The room was large with spectacular view, which I thought was not possible on the floor that I was assigned, I could see the bay and the del monte lake across the street with beautiful view of the city. It was gorgeous at night, looking at the city lights and watching people stroll along the side walk. I was impressed with the view the most, I had never taken the time to see what this hotel had to offer, but had visited many times and alway loved the time I had. I'm a local, but I enjoyed the hotel like a tourist, it was lovely to smell the roses in my backyard, WHAT A TREAT!!!

Mostly good experience over an eleven-day stayPosted Oct 28, 2015
Pros: Free breakfast good..pre-cooked food just OK but eggs cooked to order awesome. Evening cocktail reception great - they can mix you anything.
Cons: Room cleaning not great. Bar poor - ordered pina coladas and got glasses full of ice with some Malibu rum, no pineapple.
Location: Looks close to the beach but isn't. Loads to do nearby if you have a car- Monterey, 17-mile drive, Moss Landing, Elkhorn Slough, golf, whales, seals.
Breakfast was good overall (pre-cooked food - scrambled eggs, pancakes - are never as good as fresh but the omelettes cooked to order were great). Reception staff were helpful, and there was never a line. Pool tables were a good idea. Communal PCs with printers were handy for printing boarding passes. Evening reception was excellent - beer, cocktails, soft drinks and chips/dips. There was usually a choice of 3 cocktails advertised but the bar staff would actually mix anything you asked, whether it had a name or not. Room cleaning just so-so - our balcony was full of dead bugs so we didn't go out there. The hotel bar was very disappointing - they didn't seem to know how to mix a basic cocktail, whereas the guys and gals at the evening reception could mix cocktails to die for! We paid $65 for 4 drinks and 2 snacks one evening at the bar - the snacks were OK but the "cocktails" (pina colada) were poor (just ice and malibu rum) and we didn't go back, even for the free round offered after I mentioned to a manager the next day. The lack of an in-room safe was a little disappointing but safety deposit boxes are available free. The 2 communal washing machines were out of order most of the time we were there. Suites not very well equipped (compared to say Orlando or Myrtle Beach) e.g. microwave oven but no cutlery/plates, coffee machine but no crockery (just paper cups). All in all we would go back - a suite is always better than a hotel room - but just stay away from the bar.

Friendly staff, some sloppy maintenancePosted Oct 26, 2015
Very friendly staff. Sloppy housekeeping, unfixed items in room, bad wi-go even with premium pay. Noisy fan bearing unfixed which interrupted sleep. Wanted to like more; couldnt

The hotel is nice a little dated in some aspects. Good location. Quick drive to the aquarium and Cannery row. Breakfast is good. Get the eggs cooked ready to order tho. Staff is very nice and friendly.

Always room for improvement, should not hold outside events i.e. Class reunions in bar and restaurant when it's a busy weekend and lots of guest, had to go elsewhere to eat
