Reasonable price for short stay

The only unfavorable about this hotel was the room can smell cigratte, other than this all are fine

Nice enough motel Bad help from staff and manager

I bring in. Microwave into the room i use 2 times to warm up instant sup Most of motel has fridge and microwave i got told i can't have that in room so i apologize to Manager he say okay no more cooking in room i say i will remove microwave so i can get extensions to my staying in the motel but lady Jimenez in front desk say room was not for me when my truck is park all week long there so manager say he cant extend my days to stay there So i ask the lady can i come back later she say no because i broke rules And i can never stay there no more i ask why she say because im telling you... Thats not a way to treat people I apologize for bring microwave in I didn't know better or mean to cost problems manager was okay at first But the lady in front desk took it personal against me for no reason She was rude and told me i was not welcome there anymore

Javier Thanks for the review. We have all guests initial at check in about cooking in the room. It is a ventilation problem and a fire hazard. The cooking issue was not just the one time it continued after you were asked to stop. We should never be rude to our guests. Yet unfortunately when it come to safety we can not make exceptions when it comes to the safety of our guests.

problems I should have thought to ask about

I should have thought to ask about the amenities which I found lacking. I thought that all hotels had at least a coffee pot in the room, not here! Most have a micro wave and / or a minnie fridge Not Here! The pool was open but it had leaves and TWO plastic bags in the bottom of it!! The free coffee in the office was welcome. Starbucks was only a half block away. Beds were alright but not comfortable for watching T V and there was not a chair. Only one wash cloth for two people? The hotel was doing upgrades and the workmen were there at 630 am. Next time I'll call and talk to the hotel staff Instead of booking on line blind.

I am really sorry for the lack of amenities. We do make every effort to keep our property affordable. I think you'll find us to be the most affordable safe and clean property in the area. We are cleaning the pool twice a day but with the crazy winds lately it has been a chore.

Guest from another room was smoking just outside our room and the stinky smoke is all over the walk way. Another maintenance worker in front of the elevator/check in office also was smoking! That is illegal in california. There should be "imposed" No Smoking sign.

Reasonable for price

Room was okay and as we arrived late had to checkin through the night window which was quick and staff were friendly. Location of hotel was way out of the main city so a little hard to find. Looked good from outside but rooms were in need of an update and good clean

Good hotel, value for money

Nice and clean, bit far out of town to walk but manageable, about 30 minutes. Not a good area to be on your own in at night. Taxi $7 into Main Street, Salinas. Bit noisy where I was but had noisy neighbours. Nice helpful staff but plan your own trip because they weren't great in terms of general information about buses etc. Great value for money, cheaper than most and worth the money saved to do other things.

The hotel photos made it look much nicer than it was. The worse thing was the smell in the room. It was as if the carpets haven't been cleaned or the windows were never opened? If the smell of the hotel was not present and the bathrooms were updated it would be a completely different experience.

Glad I only stayed for one night.

I have never stayed in such a filthy room and hotel. There was hair in the bathroom and urine on the floor. The bed was stained and the carpet stank. I had to sleep with my clothes on as I was afraid I would catch something. I was happy to leave first thing in the morning. Will not be back.

Good for short stay

Check in was fast and easy. The staff gave us clear and easy directions on finding our room. The room was clean and tidy upon arrival. The bathroom could use some upgrades since the handles were kind of loose from the wall, but otherwise everything else was okay. We were only staying for one night, so it was good room for what it was intended for.
