Easy, clean, with nice rooms.

Another great experience at holiday inn express. I can always rely on it being clean and well taken care of. Very nice extras as well, including a keuring coffee maker. Nice TV options if you care (although you should be enjoying monterey). Thanks!

Great location

Pros: Clean, friendly service, and good hearty breakfast.
Location: Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, close to all of these and more.
Great location and plenty of parking. Close enough to all of the sights and a decent distance to the beach if you want to walk. Also, convenient to take side roads into downtown Monterey and avoid the freeway when traffic is particularly heavy. While it's an updated hotel and I wish the doors were indoors like most Holiday Inn's, this place was clean and convenient, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was also quite delicious with plenty of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to the area.

Perfect Practical Place

Whenever we are in Monterey Bay, we stay here. The location and the convenience of this hotel is great. The free breakfast is great. Everything done right for the price of your stay, great price for what they offer you. Will be back.

Hotel is located close the beach and Aquarium.

Pros: Staffs are friendly. Breakfast room is very roomy and clean. Continental breakfast has most of what we like to eat. Plenty of fruit are available.
Cons: It will be so perfect if the hotel has tea time.
Location: Trail near the beach, close to Fishman Wharf and Aquarium.
We like the convenience of the hotel. Our room is near the lake, has a nice view. We stroll along the lake, nice and peaceful.

Overpriced for a motel

This hotel is outside Monterey about 10 minutes drive(without traffic) from canary row opposite to what they advertised! the rooms were so small & stuffy! The front building was ok but the actual hotel is in the back, the staff were ok but this was ridiculously expensive for a motel room. The breakfast was good. Overall this was such a disappointment for the price we paid, I would not stay here ever again! There is another holiday express near canary row, I'd pick that or stay in Carmel.

Somewhat renovated. Nice lobby and breakfast area. Rooms somewhat dated. I did not care for the window blinds. The bottom of the shower seemed to have black grease stains.

Nice. Clean rooms and good breakfast options. Hot tub was not as clean as should be.
