nice hotel, bad service

Pros: close to aquarium, beach and Fisherman's Wharf/restaurants
Cons: Customer service
Location: walkable to Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey Bay Aquarium, restaurants and nightlife.
We were lucky to find a reservation on a busy Holiday weekend so I will preface this with the acknowledgement that the hotel was busy. However the issue we had was on Monday, when the customer agent herself said "most" guests were leaving. We returned to our room mid-day Monday to find that it had already been cleaned-yay! However the comforter that was placed on our bed-which was stark white before-was now visibly dirty and had a strange blood stain on it. We had two small children with us, no one was bleeding (we definitely know with kids!) much less a cut large enough to smear blood across a white comforter. I called down immediately to housekeeping (i.e. the front desk) the agent said she would let housekeeping know right now. Fast forward to two hours later, still no housekeeping. We left and returned, another two hours later. Still no new comforter. That's four hours! I went and spoke to someone at the desk this time, still nothing from housekeeping. Now it's getting close to bedtime for the kids and we need someone to take care of this right away. My husband calls down, the agent says housekeeping is "very busy. Will get around to it eventually". Housekeeping never came. We slept in bed with just sheets because I did not want to expose my children to a blanket in our hotel room with someone else's blood. Needless to say, we won't be going back. The agent at the desk also had no recos for lunch, dinner etc or knew the area very well which wasn't very helpful.

Lovely hotel.

Pros: The room was larger and better than I experienced . I also loved the outdoor living space. The grounds and flowing fountain were beautiful.
Cons: The refrigerator needed to be replaced but it worked. Items fell out when opened .
Location: Perfect location . A short walk to the warf and the grocery store .
Love, love, love this hotel . I will diffinately stay there the next time I go to Monterey . Spacious room, excellent staff, and perfect location .

Hotel near wharf in Monterrey

Location: Fisherman Wharf/ Cannery Row
The rooms are very dark, especially the 1st and 2nd floor. Our "superior level King" was a Long narrow room with window at one end. More like a cave. Furnishings were suitable. The room numbering systems is confusing, doesn't make sense.

Nice Hotel on a busy road

Pros: Nice sized rooms. Accessible location.
Cons: The hotel is dated.
Location: It's a 5 minute walk to the Wharf. 20 minutes to Cannery Row.
Hotel Pacific has a nice Hacienda decor that you would expect in California. The rooms and facilities are dated, but the staff is nice. It is on a busy road that's quite loud, but accessible to most of the sites in Monterrey. Just don't go during the Concurs d' Elegance because they triple the prices.

Nice pics on the site but a really old hotel

Noisy and old and smelly and not worth the money Ok it was Monterey car weekend and all the hotels want to charge you 5 times what they are worth and if you grab a room let minuite But this place is 2 star if that

Walking distance to harbor & farmers market on Tue

Pros: Location was great and the staff was very accommodating
Location: Harbor and restaurants are within walking distance. Trolley stop is close
Room was very spacious. We liked the fireplace and terrace. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was included and had a variety of muffins, cereal, bagels, fruit, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. The staff, especially Sonny, was very helpful and always pleasant.

NIce Hotel

Pros: Nice sized room.
Cons: The hot tubs need to work in all areas of the hotel
Location: Fishermen's Warf. You can catch the trolley down to Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The Hotel Pacific is within easy walking distance to Fishermen's Warf. The room was clean and had a gas fireplace and small outside patio. The only drawback was the hot tub did not work in our area of the hotel. The continental breakfast was good. Wish they had hot chocolate for kids. Costs 20.00 to park in their parking garage.

Could be wonderful

I really liked the look of the hotel except that the halls and common areas were dirty. Our room had cobwebs and dead flies at the patio door. The bed and bathroom were really clean.The room had great amenities like the fireplace and couch, though the couch was worn and not the most comfortable. I think it could be an awesome hotel with a few changes to make sure the couches are not too worn and cleaning. I do not think it was a good value.

Beautiful Hotel!

One of our favourite hotels on our California Road Trip! We were upgraded to a suite for the night and had a fireplace with outdoor patio. Wish we stayed longer! Clean room and friendly staff. Great location in Monterey!
