The controller for the tv didn’t have batteries when I went to the front desk no one answered I called and no one answered either so I went and purchased my own and even then the tv just didn’t work in general I was really disappointed as I had to sit in silence the whole night I would expect this from a low quality hotel but not something in Monterey

AVOID IF POSSIBLE
When first arriving it smelled terrible, then our fridge had a bunch of left over random stuff from previous guests, along with a graveyard of garbage under our bed. We also had only 1 pillow so we call to ask for another just for them to come hours later with only 1 DIRTY pillow. Very close to stuff but still not at all worth being here. Go next door or across the street

Purchase 2 rooms here in Monterey. This is the dirtiest place I have ever stay or encounter on a Vacation. Both rooms were dirty. The guy at the front desk said he can’t do anything but give me another room. So we took it and that one was dirty. Not only was the first room dirty but shower didn’t work. Couldn’t even make my kids get off the bed. The guys was suppose to give me discount on each room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Definitely if traveling with kids

Great price, convenient location.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. I was worried that the noise from the very busy Munras Ave. would be too much, but I could barely hear it once I settled in for sleep. The water pressure in the shower was poor, which was a bummer because I liked everything else about this place - great location, clean, comfortable, good sized refrigerator, microwave, convenient to Del Monte shopping center. The amenities (shampoo/soap) are cheap and you should bring your own if you are sensitive to that. But for the price, this place can’t be beat.

The flowers were so welcoming as we pulled into the parking lot. It was clean, the room was nice with a refrigerator and a microwave. The coffee pods were good. We got an early check-in so we could get to our music festival for the first performance.

The bathroom was a little musty smelling. Wood around bathroom doors especially down by floors looked rotted out? #103 Family running motel are nice. Location is fabulous. Close to pier, harbor & downtown. Beautiful shopping center right across the street. Sink & shower upgraded with nice tile.

Worth a try
Nice clean comfortable room. Unfortunately we we on the first floor and the guests above us were super noisy. Thankfully it quieted down about 10 pm. I would stay again.

Old hotel but good location
This was a good location as far as access to the highway, Del Monte shopping center and downtown, but there was loud traffic noise. Plenty of parking, Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator w/freezer, microwave and a/c or heater in the room. Large tv with lots of channels. Nice king bed. This is an old hotel which shows its age. We checked out a day early and was given a refund for that night which we had prepaid...I was impressed with that.

For the money compared to other motels in the area, it was a good deal. Some 'hanky panky' going on outside of our bedroom window near midnight. Maybe just youngsters smoking?? It felt very uncomfortable... The Kurig coffee maker in our room was broken, so we had to walk to the office to use the one in there. $30.00 per night for our teacup shih Tzu ..that was really steep. All and all, not a bad place. Beds Could be a bit more cushier.

The pictures on their website show they have a pool, Which they do not. They also are supposed to have continental breakfast which they do not, rooms are Definitely not as nice as they are meant to seem. .I complained to the front office and Expedia both were no help.

We do not offer a pool or breakfast and nowhere on our websites do we advertise this, it is not listed at all and there is no pool picture on any website. Maybe you have mistaken us for another hotel as not all Rodeway Inn's offer the same amenities. Please double check and read the property amenities section before booking.

Our room was in very good condition. It was quiet at night and we could open the window for cooling instead of running the A/C. Bed was comfortable, we slept well. Service was great, they allowed a delayed checkout and kept our bags until we left town later in the afternoon. Good value for the price. Highly recommended.

Great for the price
This hotel was great for the price. Modern, clean room with everything you need, including little fridge and microwave. On the downside, the shutters didn't block out enough light (though I appreciate that it was well-lit outside and was happy I brought my eye shades), the fridge was loud, and the towels were pretty thin. All of that was fine, but the bed was too soft for my comfort. However, for $125 a night I would totally stay here again.
