Beautiful coastal modern hotel

I really enjoyed my stay here. I had a room with two Queen sized beds and a fireplace and it was more than enough! Very spacious and clean with lots of storage. I also liked the little balcony/yard that our room came with, which included a patio table and chairs. The free continental breakfast was great and had a lot of variety, but the coffee wasn't so good. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend. Also, the landscape of the hotel is absolutely beautiful!

Nice Hotel in town

Pros: Thed Room The fireplace the hot tub and the breakfast and the staff
Location: close to everything
Every thing was great it was close to everything in monterey.

This hotel was close to everything.

We booked 4 different rooms with my family, and all rooms were not cleaned enough. Sofas in suit were very old and do not recline, sheets were dirty and towels were very old. Overall this hotel is ok for 3 star hotel, but they need to improve some things.

Good hotel

Pros: They have a good location, and a nice breakfast.
Cons: The room heater/ ac was very noisey
Location: Carmel is about 6 miles away Monterey's waterfront is only about 2 miles away.
Room was way in the back of the floor, the staff did not tell us that at check in nor did they ask us if we needed a room closer to the elevator. We have troble walking.

Pros: Friendly staff and good location
Cons: The bed room # 201 need to be painted and cleaned thoroughly.
The staff was very helpful. They did run out of Tea, Orange juice and fruits for breakfast. The room #201 ceiling had mole and not a pleasant site when it is over the bed.

clean,?and comforting

I stayed one night for my sons 5th birthday! I had an amazing time and I'm glad I picked the mariposa inn to stay at. We couldn't of had a better time. The hotel was very clean, and conviently close to a shopping center and not far from the beach. I wish I could olhavd stayed a little bit longer but unfortunately it was back to reality for me.

Nice hotel

Our room was upgraded probably from overlooking which was nice. My complaints were little: water pressure in shower, there was a mild marijuana odor (not hotels fault), maybe what looked like speckles of mold in bathroom, and no late check outs. Since there was no late check outs, I asked how I could extend my stay another night, they said I couldnt. The morning was noisy with housekeeping. Fireplace was beautiful, room and property were beautiful, staff was nice but morning person seemed grumpy. Pool area very nice too and close to shopping. 1-2 miles from wharf.

Good Deal...Good Location

Hotel was was way nicer than motel...and better than lets say best Western. Lady at front desk had grumpy personality. She seemed put out to lift a finger to help with anything. My wife said same thing when she went to front desk. Maybe she was having bad day. Smiling, friendliness, and more willingness to help go a long way...she should learn better customer service skills...send her to training class...
