Near Fishermans Wharf

Pros: Individual rooms and location.
Cons: Parking can be difficult but I cannot think of what could be done to improve it.
Location: All the main tourist attractions of Monterey are within walking distance.
We wanted a hotel that was a bit different in the centre of Monterey and what is what we got. Lots of space in the room which was nicely decorated. Breakfast is served in a room seating about 14 people and can be busy. Parking is tight but we always found a space. Internet speed better than most hotels.

Thank you very much for such a great review of Merritt House Inn! Parking is tricky when it is a full house, that is true. The only other option is to use a parking garage located just down the street or leave your car on property as much as possible and walk to your destinations, which are very close by - Cannery Row, The Wharf, beautiful beaches, good restaurants, etc. We appreciate your positive feedback and hope to have you here again.

Fantastiskt boende i Monterey!

Pros: Karaktären på rum och hotellbyggnad. Bra läge. Väldigt trevlig personal.
Location: Centralt, korta gångavstånd till shopping och restauranger. 5-10 min till Fishersman's Wharf. Akvariet, valskådning, 17-mile drive till Carmel btS.
Jättebra läge. Suveräna rum med små härliga balkonger in mot egen lugn och lummig trädgård. Kort promenad ner till piren och när till restauranger och shopping inne i stan. Hade vi känt till vilket härligt hotell detta var och mer om vad Monterey hade att erbjuda hade vi garanterat bokat upp fler nätter.

Perfect rest place

Pros: Location was very handy for Monterrey and car park was great

Merritt House Inn is a great place to stay

Stayed two nights. Check-in was easy, free parking spot was ready for us. Room was large with a fireplace. Room temperature was easily controllable. Large bathroom and counter space, desk, king size bed. Room service was terrific, everyone we interacted with at the hotel was very friendly. Continental breakfast was ample and good quality. Check-out was similarly easy and hospitable. A great place to stay!

We had great time... Great place !! Great people. This place is very close to downtime, Fisherman's warf and Aquarium. Many great options to eat.

Excellent Experience

Pros: The room was comfortable. Tastefully decorated and we had a table a chairs that faced the courtyard
Location: We were with in walking distance to the wharf and the aquarium. Great restaurants nearby
the hotel staff were only concerned with our comfort. We arrived early and they got our room ready for us. they recommended great restaurants and provided umbrellas when it was raining. We had a great stay.

Sweet and cozy.

My husband and I loved this sweet little place. The staff was friendly, the room was so cute and cozy and we were close to everything we wanted to do. We had a balcony off our room that looked out on a courtyard which made us feel like we were in a treehouse and there was free, convenient parking. The only negative things were that the seagulls were crazy noisy outside and since this is an old building we heard them clearly and the bed was too firm for our liking.

lovely cottage feel

It was lovely, and clean. So nice to have a firepace. The sea gulls overhead are noisey in the mornings (if you are planning to sleep in) There appears to be no elevator so while the second floor is lovely we did have to drag our bags up the stairs. We would definately stay there again but pack lighter.
