Thin walls. Could hear conversations in next room. Love the historic building and family run hotel.

Loved everything. We did okay without it, but a coffee maker and microwave would be a nice amenity. Thank you!

Nothing special.

It was fine and ordinary. But for $200 a night we would have expected your common amenities like air condition and at least fresh bread. I understand it’s an old place but the noise from the street can wake you up if you are close to the reception. Breakfast area was very small and confining. No microwaves but the small fridge is cold and the water is hot. Internet is slow too. This place can definitely use a renovation or at least improvement.

There is very little that we can do to change the area for the breakfast we serve. There is nothing that we can do about the street noise, some days are louder than others.

Location: Fisherman's Wharf - the Cannery - Alvarado St with many great restaurants
Smaller establishment with very friendly staff. Within walking distance to most attractions.

At last a proper breakfast table setting with China cups and plates instead of cardboard and plastic Very helpful owner who helped us with a tyre problem

Perfect stay for the night!

This hotel was really well situated and had great amenities in terms of parking and breakfast. I would definitely recommend it. Although the breakfast was only continental, everything was excellent quality and very fresh. Pastries, bagels (really good!), hard boiled eggs, fruit selection and muffins. The room was amazing - really spacious with everything you might need. The only downside was the lack of a/c but they provide a fan so we used that during the night. It was fairly noisy but we were so jetlagged that we slept through it. The front doors are a little rickety and seems like someone could just break in quite easily but there were triple locks and we had no problems. Overall a great stay and the best shower I've had since we started our trip!! Thanks Merritt!

Monterey Comfort

The staff was more than helpful. The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable and great beds. Walking distance to the wharf and central to many places like17 mile drive and the lighthouse. Very enjoyable stay. We will go back!

Centrally located for Monterey fun

Return visit to our favorite vacation place. Location of hotel ideal for walking wherever you wanted to go in Monterey. Convenient grocery store next door for last minute shopping and great deli sandwiches. Beautiful garden room.

Love this treasure in a high priced area.

Loved this place. In Monterey for a conference and the host hotel was sold out. This is just a block away from the conference center. Parking is tight, but adequate. The breakfast is great and the room was nice. Comfortable bed.
