We had a nice stay. The price is right and the location is great. The only negative thing I could say is the bed was pretty springy and one of our lamps didn’t work. Other than that we had a great time. I would stay here again.

It's two night of nightmare and completely ruined our trip. When we first entered the cottage it looks okay and not until we prepare to get shower and there is no hot water from the tank. We called main line and nobody answered and leave a voice message, nobody called us back. Then we go to office it already close which is just not much past 9p. What's more we find out our room front door can not be locked. We had to put our luggage against the door and we can't fall into sleep since lack of security. Next day we complained our issues to the front desk. The men(it was turned out to be the manager) told us the shower is new and couldn't have issue and nobody in the room before complained the front door locker has problem.(His logic is if his hotel doesn't has problem before, it won't be for the future)What's more, he told us we had a miserable night its due to we didn't see their poster for after night number to get their people for immediate support. The entire conversation there is no sorry or apology instead blaming us. We were shocked by how hotel staff responded to what we were experienced and he already lost patience and almost jump from the ground. He said we will send people to check what else we want. We leave the office since we know he doesn't feel any bad of what we had last night. Then we waited in the room the technician comes and checked the front door locker does have problems. It looks three trips to make it slightly better( still with push in order to lock)

Drove 7 hours in the rain for a track meet. Arrived to a dark, locked office. Called the after hours phone and was forced to leave a message. Called three more times and left three more messages. I even called the main line. Nothing. It is now 11:30 at night. I called Expedia who also tried to get a hold of the night manager with no avail. I was forced to take my child and I to another hotel. Just hoping that they'll refund me my money. It's now 12: 54 pm the next day and I still have not received a phone call back from the hotel.

At first glance the property is pleasing to the eye, the immediate greeting from the staff pleasant. Unfortunately, when we first went into our cabin we were met with an unmistakable smell of decay. Although, we could not pin point exactly where the smell came from we believe it was from a dead mouse in the cabinet. They took out the refrigerator so the smell would leave. The staff was very accommodating but i believe in this situation something should have been preferred . Especially the fact we had three Children with us.

Great location and lovely neighbourhood. Did not like the noise in the early morning from the second floor. There should be a notice to people with kids who stay on the second floor - Not to run back and forth on the balcony in the early morning!! Also, the hot tub needs a good clean! Other than that we enjoyed our stay :)

An older but very cozy,friendly and comfortable place. Nice little kitchen with everything needed. Very comfy beds. Nice accessible bathroom. Nice to have a couple of outdoor seating areas. Short drive to downtown Pacific Grove with lots of restaurants and shopping. Close enough to Cannery Row if desired too. Room was not spacious- two beds, but kitchen was handy, TV chair nice. Staff very nice and helpful. Stayed here a few years ago and hope to do so again.

We were put in an acessable unit which is for someone in a wheelchair. I noticed this 2 weeks before we arrived and were assures it was just like a regular unit except it had wide doorways and an open shower. There were no places to hang up our close and the counters were low. The management would not move us eve tho the unit next door was empty. we were there 5 days.

Friendly, cheerful customer service at check in. Manager shared her photos taken at the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. Informed of Butterfly Parade scheduled for October. Clean room. Outdoor hot tub & fire pit. 5 stars! Highly recommend.

Property is dated and old. Sink did not drain. Furnishing is dated. Across the street from a loud venue. Doors do not close tightly so you hear everything outside. Mold in the bathroom. You pay for what you get.

Super thin walls. Didn’t help that our neighbors were extra loud and were apparently working the night shift. Heater didn’t work (space heater did). The location is phenomenal, however. Wa liking distance to sone of the most beautiful beaches on the west coast.

Overall, this place is a great value. The only slight downside was that the in-room wall heater was noisy, as is common with these units. Otherwise, the room was comfortable (very simply, but nicely appointed) and the location is very good. We would be very pleased to stay there again.

Older motel that has been updated and remodeled. Nice to be able to park right outside our room. Certainly nothing fancy, but comfortable. The only issue -- we could hear the people next door. Either they were really loud or the walls are pretty thin. The proximity to the beach and Cannery Row is a big plus.

Rooms inside have been updated. Windows need replacing/upgrading, clearly drafts of air, cracks in doors and windows not sealed. Indicative of age of property. Staff was very accommodating, and met requests with efficiency. Found the property and location in Pacific Grove overall very charming. Week after Christmas proved way too congested, week after New Years has been our go-to, will return to that approach in the future.
