Old hotel next to gas station

This was expensive hotel that was run down and next to a gas station. Charged extra for children in room.

Quiet hotel near attractions.

This hotel is family friendly and has free parking. The continental breakfast is a nice perk. The hotel is centeally located and beds were very comfortable.

A Model Modern Motel

Pros: Excellent value
Cons: No, it is perfect for the price.
Very friendly staff, well-located, quiet, comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is varied and adequate. They even have a waffle maker.....Yum! All in all, excellent value.

Close to everything Monterey

Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Refrigerator in room.
Location: Everything is close by.
Very pleased with this place. Food (Denny's) and gas right next door. Staff was super helpful. Onlyrics two things: shower, while clean and visually appealing allowed water to escape and cover the floor. And no fridge.

stay there for a night. blanket is too thin. noisey. should have better breakfast than cold eggs

Our breakfast is served from 7am to 10am, and we have a self-help station with many things to eat such as: muffins, toast, eggs, cereal, hot oatmeal, juice, coffee and tea. Perhaps you were here a little on the later side of breakfast. We ask you to next time bring this to the attention of the Breakfast attendant or the Front Desk!

Traffic noise

There was traffic noise all night. There were not enough parking spaces and we ended up parked on the street.

Great Place for the budget minded

Pros: Proximity to Downtown and Public transportation Room Cost Free Secure parking
I wasn't expecting a five star resort for a three star price so I was quite pleased with my overall stay. The staff was extremely helpful and informative. The room was very clean but modest in size. There was some street noise -- but acceptable to me. They did have ample underground "free and secure" parking with garage elevator access the rooms -- and the motel was sold out the nights I stayed. The Stevenson offered a simple continental breakfast (with DIY waffles!), coffee -- etc. The motel is one block from the city transit hub which is nice. It was 4 blocks from "downtown" with tons of restaurants and shops. The "wharf" was about a half mile away -- for Cannery Row, you'd need a car, Uber/Lyft, or public trans -- which has their metro bub a block away. I was in Monterrey for a business meeting and classes at a "very nice convention center" four blocks away. I'll stay at the Stevenson again on my next trip. The short walk it to the meetings over three day was pleasant and saved me a several hundred bucks --which i rather spend on myself than a room anyway.
