Okay stay that was near my appointment

Pros: Value
Cons: Parking area condition
The hotel itself is a nice "bang for the buck". Decent area, near restaurants, and not too far from shopping activity. My room had some pretty old and well used furniture, but not uncomfortable. Oddly, the curtains were ripped to shreds, and obviously had been for a while. Breakfast area was clean, but small. Only 2 or 3 tables for guests to use. Menu was very limited, with nothing hot except for waffles or toast. I personally like oatmeal and had to do without. Still though, overall, it was a very good value. The only thing that really upset me was the shape of the parking lot. It was raining and dark when I arrived and all the potholes were filled with water so you could not tell depth. They beat the living daylights out of my car! Upon looking at them the next morning, I saw why. I have no idea why the owner or manager would allow his parking area to get in that kind of shape. Shame on him, it hurt his overall rating.

uninviting and needs improvements

Posted Dec 6, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel staff was not inviting. The pool was full of moldy water. The WiFi log in was not offered or given without asking. Even though this hotel is a little off the main highway if improvements were made it would be worth the drive. The pool is a main focal point and it was disgusting and smelled. The staff needed to be more friendly. The hotel could use some updating. The Days Inn on Eastern Blvd could teach them a few things about customer service and how the hotel grounds should look. I understand pools need unexpected maintenance but draining or a cover would have made a difference to the over look of this hotel. I stayed at this same hotel 3 months ago and the pool was the same way and the rooms were not the cleanest but the rooms have improved.

Awful Stench with Garbage piled up by the door

Posted Oct 10, 2016 on Hotels
The room and hallways had such a horrible stench that my wife threw up and we had to leave a day early. We only stayed the one night cos we were hurricane refugees. I want my money refunded for the second night. Your review was wrong!!!!!!

Escaped hurricane but overall the room was terrib

Posted Oct 9, 2016
Got away from Hurricane Mathew, the rooms I rented were in terrible condition. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, the room looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in a while, there was a cigarette burn on the blanket in a no smoking rooms, bathroom tiles were cracked. Total mess, I get that it was a Days Inn and not a Marriot but still come on people take care of your franchise.... oh yes, the water temperature could not be adjusted.
