    About this property

    Charming Stone Cottage

This is a very wonderful, very special cottage that has been around for a long time - 100 years old with lots of character. If the walls could talk I am sure they would have stories to tell. We had renovated this cottage about 14 years ago. It has a wonderful east coat ambiance with a stone exterior. The cottage has 2 bedrooms - 1 bedroom with queen bed and the other has 2 built in bunk beds with their own reading lights(sleeps 4). The screen porch is a favorite room with our guests. The views are beautiful with the cottage facing west with amazing sunsets. It has an open floor plan with a kitchen island and an cozy eating nook. Clearwater lake is large (3000 acres) with a restaurant and bait shop with boat rental located on it. We have a very nice swimming area with hard sand bottom. Great fishing lake! The cottage is close to the Metro are - less then an hour away. The nearest town is Annandale - wonderful with its quaint shops and excellent restaurants - Café Jules is my favorite! Brewery and winery also nearby. The cottage has Satellite TV, air conditioning, gas and charcoal grill, campfire area. All sheets and towels supplied. Dock, boat-lift and canoe for your use.

North cabin feel close to Twin Cities

We were very happy to find a place within an hour drive of home; yet we felt like we were at a north woods cabin. Clearwater lake is fabulous and this cabin was just steps away. During the time we were there, very little boating traffic, so not a lot of annoying motor noise. The screened in porch became our gathering place morning to evening. It was so wonderful to listen to the loons and water splashing on the rocks. An extra plus was being able to rent a pontoon close by to use for the day. A very relaxing stay.

    Peaceful, quaint and therapeutic

We felt so comfortable and at home in this quaint cottage by the lake. We were in Minnesota to do research for a book and work, but we ended up having beautiful conversations every morning and evening while looking at the serene setting out the back door.

Great place to celebrate a surprise 60th Birthday

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay 4 nights at this lovely cottage over Memorial Day Weekend. Our grown children and their spouses traveled from afar to surprise my husband for his 60th birthday! What a wonderful place to spend time with our family - we wanted for nothing (except maybe a reprieve from the heat and May flies :) Jane and her husband allowed us to plug in our little A-frame popup camper so my husband and I could sleep in air conditioning; giving our children some space in the cottage. The outside decks were amazing - we seem to spend most of our time in the screened-in one. I was partial to the deck that offered a swing in which to look out over the water while reading a good book. For such a large lake, we sere surprised how peaceful and quiet it was.on a holiday weekend. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone and hope to return again.
