Small boutique no-frills hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location in close proximity to shops, restaurants. No elevator and steep steps to rooms, but staff were very helpful in taking bags to room. No amenities in room (fridge, kettle, water, glasses) and breakfast only on site. Rooms were small and clean. Hotel is suitable for exploring, less so for lounging, however the breakfast area with the sun roof is a lovely option.

A wonderfully comfortable and convenient location for a visit to Montpellier. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, and the breakfast ample and delicious. Easy access to Place de la Comedie, a short walk to Antigone, and easy walk to many fine restaurants. An apt reflection of the qualities of the city of Montpelier.

We loved this quiet and quaint hotel. The original architecture is beautiful. High ceilings, wide curved staircase with wrought iron railing, beautiful wood doors, etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We will be back of we are ever in Montpellier again.

This is a very quaint hotel near restaurants and bars. Parking is away from hotel but just a short walk. Staff very friendly and helpful. No lifts so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. Our room was on the ground floor with a spa bath. Had a hand held shower head not a normal shower

We loved the staff and the property. They accommodated us with a handicapped room because we can not climb stairs easily because of our advanced age. They directed us to a nearby parking garage which offered a discount to patrons of the hotel. The hotel is in a very convenient area, close to Comedie Opera and the Polygone Shopping Center, lots of restaurants also nearby.

The owners and staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, informative. The rooms have thick walls so you don't hear anyone in the other rooms. 1 minute walk to restaurants, shops, trams and easy walking distance to lots of the attractions. Short Tram ride and short bus ride to get to the beach. Perfectly located for everything.

I think the place is overrated - looks much more used and dingy than in the photos. It has old carpet-type floors and the room and all the bedding smelt stale like wet dog. It was however visually clean, and the staff were very friendly. I only stayed one night so didn't bother to complain about the smell - not sure what they could have done though.

Instead of commenting on this review without even giving us a chance. a little unfaire don't you think? Many of our clients do enjoy their stay with us , so 'overrated' might be your opinion but don't think it reflects on us.Carpeted floors are fitted to ensure that there is insulation for noise and heat during winter. We are an old and protected building in Montpellier's heritage and history., something which maybe you did not know and therefore did your appreciate your stay with us. Have a pleasant day.

Cute, clean hotel in a central location. What really stands out is the service, though. The staff went above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable. Fresh homemade breakfast was served like a restaurant by the generous hosts. What really impressed me, though, was when I left an expensive item behind, they had it shipped to my home in Canada the next day. Truly a delight to stay here. It has my highest recommendation for anyone staying in Montpellier!

Just brilliant location, staff and room.
Fantastic assistance on arrival, enthusiastic multilingual staff. Big rooms and a pleasant continental breakfast. All this plus a very central location made for a fantastic pick for Montpellier. Smart tv ensured we could easily follow nees from home. 10/10

Superb - pity about the room!
The cramped room and ensuite shower-room were a big disappointment. (I'm sure I was unlucky). The service was excellent as was the breakfast and the location is ideal for train-users and its proximity to the central Place de Comédie and Tourist Office makes it an ideal choice. However, five nights in such a room brought my holiday in the region to a frustrating end.

What a charming hotel! Just a block off of Place de la Comedie, so a short walk to everything but on a very quiet block. Our room was lovely, and the hosts are just delightful and wonderful to give local recommendations. I needed to book another stay in Montpellier and booked here again - and will always come back here if I am back in Montpellier. Protip: If you are coming from the airport, take a taxi, not Uber -- Uber will drop you quite far away, at least if you are walking with luggage, and have to encounter many steps and it isn't clear where you are going. Taxis come right to the door! Enjoy Hotel d'Aragon!

Nice hotel good location
Hotel in good location close to restaurants and shopping. Paid parking very close with discount from hotel. Staff lovely and very helpful. Breakfast good. Quiet, comfortable room but needed black out blinds as street lights shining through curtains as we were on ground floor. Would have been useful to have somewhere to hang towels to dry after use as no rails or pegs for this.

The location is perfect. 3-5 minute walk to place de lA Comédie and trams. Wendy was fantastic and answered all of our questions before and during our trip. Close to the train station with a six minute walk. Staff was always willing to help in French or in English. P

A lovely little property with super friendly staff on hand to help. Never ate there as its a 2 minute walk into the main square and all that Montpellier has to offer (a lot). Difficult to find ANY negatives here. WI Fi and AC the 2 things i value most both worked perfectly. I will most certainally return.

Excellent boutique hotel centrally located!
Lovely little boutique hotel in a relatively quiet street which is literally 2 minutes from the heart of centre ville. Clean, large rooms and bathroom, working AC and they have a deal with the parking garage near by (ask the reception and the will give you a stamp for a reduced fee). The service is also great and very helpful. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Montpellier.

This place was amazing. Very cute and friendly. Simon went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and gave my sister and I a room that fit our needs - it is very special and not commercial like most hotels I have stayed. Felt very safe staying here and loved the room decor. Very French and cute :)

Loved our stay here. Bed and bedding amongst the best we have experienced in a month acrosss Europe. Spacious room, very nice bathroom. Best of all the location is in the heart of the town, with restaurants all around, yet on a side street so it's quiet. No elevator but our room was just one floor up. Reception (Dec 6-8) was friendly and very helpful We came during a train strike & had to hop a Flixbus last minute from Marseille, which left us at the Sabines tram stop. So easy to get to the hotel, tram stop Comedie is just two blocks from the hotel. Def recommend! Much better value than the Ibis next door!

Superb location
The hotel owner and his wife were lovely. The hotel is small and typically French and the location, just off the Place de la Comedie, could not have been better.
