Perfect location in Old Montreal

Posted Mar 24, 2017
My wife and I flew in to Montreal, with no reservations, only the idea to stay in the "old town". From the airport bar.....we searched online for a hotel and decided on the Auberge, for it's charm and waterfront location. We just loved our stay there, it has all the modern conveniences with all of its old world character left in place. You won't find a nicer and more accommodating staff or a better location to base your old town adventure from. Leave your car parked, you'll be within walking distance to all the beautiful sites and restaurants.

Historic elements are nice

Posted Mar 14, 2017
This is a nice hotel in a great location. The rooms are nice but a bit small and there isn't great soundproofing so that if you are sensitive to noise bring earplugs. The beds are a bit soft so I had difficulty sleeping the first night ( not as firm as the usual hotel bed). There are no coffee makers in the room so if you want coffee or tea you have to go down to the lobby to get it- a bit inconvenient in the morning. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. I do not advise eating at the restaurant - over priced and not very good. Overall our experience was satisfactory but I'm not sure I would stay there again - a bit on the pricy side and doesn't feel like a four star.

In the old town. Lots of character

Great staff and the attached taverna is a very good restaurant with a ill service bar. We will certainly stay here again soon f we come back to Montreal. We visited during the winter and enjoyed our stay but I'm sure that it would be difficult to get a reservation in the spring or summer because of its perfect location on the river.

We had an exceptional experience at the Auberge du Vieux-Port. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Hotel is beautifully decorated and cozy. Highly recommend the hotel restaurant, especially for breakfast.

Beautiful hotel in a great location

Posted Mar 3, 2017
Pros: Location, room, bathroom, bathroom products and staff
We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. The woman at the reception was super nice and polite. We had a room at the back side of the hotel which was recently renovated and gorgeous. The room was romantic with a mix of old stone walls and modern furniture. The sheets were amazing and the bed was superb. The bathroom was like a spa with a rain shower and amazing spa products. The room has super fluffy robes with slippers. We ordered room service and it was fantastic! I highly recommend it as well as the wine in the room. The location was perfect, right in the middle of old Montreal where you can walk everywhere.

Nice old hotel in heart of old Montreal

Posted Mar 3, 2017
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff; charming room; nice restaurant/bar in hotel.
Cons: One day the housekeeper failed to replenish the bathroom tissues and we had to ask for more.
We've stayed there a number of times and feel like it's returning home. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The natural wood floors and ceiling beams lend a note of history and charm. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Would go back!

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Pros: Everything, especially the quaintness.
Cons: Include breakfast with room. Make shower a little smaller or not so close to the toilet.
Everything was perfect. When we got there, they had upgraded the room. The bed felt like it enveloped us. The bathroom was magnificent. Shower was a little big for the bathroom, and I bumped my head on it in the middle of the night in the dark. So leave the light on in the bathroom and close the door. The wood floors and exposed beams were so authentic and inviting. Staff was warm and accommodating. Because of all the construction, view of the port was not impressive during the day, but gorgeous at night.

Splendid hotel in Old Montreal

Posted Feb 16, 2017
Pros: Great staff always ready to help, guide, suggest... Historic building with nice upgrades and first rate beds.
Cons: Walls not soundproof, but typically guests are not noisy...
Location: Charming part of town, full of galleries, restaurants and bistros - close to downtown...
Had a very relaxing few days with museum visits and great meals thanks to the insight of the hotel staff...
