Charming hotel,staff pleasant and helpful

Posted Oct 20, 2016
Pros: helpful staff, location
Cons: foam pillows, no elevator
Location: excellent location close to two metro station stations
I walk with a cane and my room was on the third floor. This was a problem I could have used an elevator. Next time I will ask for a room on a lower floor. My room was spotless, had a jacuzzi in the bathroom. I didn't like the foam pillows, found it hard to sleep on them.

Fun on Rue St. Denis!

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Pros: Helpful fun bilingual staff! Lovely quiet retreat in a lively part of town. The decor is thoughtful and charming.
Cons: If somebody spiffed up the garden below the balcony, and cleared up some of the clutter below, the charm would be complete!
Location: All of Montreal - art, dining, parks, shopping, Jardins Botaniques, etc!
We came for a quick overnight to meet friends staying nearby - it was perfect. The building is classic - antique - not posh or fancy, but beautifully and charmingly redone. The lobby & office are downstairs, and rooms upstairs off a balcony in the back - a sweetly quiet spot in the middle of the busy city. Room was cozy - small but well-arranged for 2 double beds (another suitcase rack might be good). Loved the hot tub with the candle in the corner! The 2nd floor is up an easy flight of stairs; the parking is a couple of blocks around the corner, so this is great for people who don't need elevators, etc.

Small boutique hotel in the Latin quarter

Posted Sep 14, 2016
Pros: I liked the location, room decors, and the front desk staff.
Cons: Elevators would be helpful for elderly visitors.
This small hotel is located on a quiet street near the university, lined with eateries of all types.. There was a three-day street festival going on when I was there, welcoming the new and returning students for the start of the Fall semester. It was orderly fun with some loud musical performances, which I could not hear from my room. The hotel is within a short walking distance of the central bus station and the metro. I used public transportation for all my travel needs including the airport. Old town is a 15 to 20 minute walk. The front desk staff were just phenomenal. They spoke English, and took the time to help me plan out my sightseeing itinerary. The included continental breakfast was average, but had all the needed ingredients. I had a suite, which was well furnished, large, and clean. My only negative comments would be the lack of elevators in this hotel, so if you have large suitcases, and get a room on the top (third) floor, then you better have a strong person in your group..

Dear guest Thank you for this review and for choosing Auberge Le jardin d’Antoine. This review is very pleasant to read. I am happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We will share your comment with our team here which is devoted to make your stay a good one in our beautiful Montreal. There is, in fact, no elevator in our hotel but, if we can, we will try to help with luggages. Junior Suites and Suites are on the higher floor (as it is noted here on this site) . Standard rooms are mainly on the reception level and are the best option if stairs is a major issue for you. Thanks again We look forward to welcome you back . Best regards Marc-André Ladouceur

Charming surrounds, even though rooms are on the small side. Cute terrace outside of the ground floor rooms.

Friendly Staff

Pros: Close to the subway.
Cons: My only complaint about the hotel is that I had money taken from my luggage. It was not much, loose american change, but stolen nonetheless.
Location: Restaurants and cafés nearby. Within walking distance of Old Montreal and shopping.
The hotel was clean, room spacious and breakfast very good. The office staff was informative and helpful. The hotel is in a location which has many panhandlers.

Great little hotel, in a great location for a super price. We would definitely stay there again. Our standard room was small, but very cute and clean. Bed was comfy. Shower was tiny.

Excellent Staff and location

Posted Jun 24, 2016
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Bathroom is outdated
Location: Lots of restaurants and bars near by. Walking distance to Old Montreal.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights recently. The room is small but nicely decorated. It has more a home feeling than hotel. We accidentally left an $100 bill under the bed and the hotel staff called me the next day after we check out and told me the housekeeper found it and they will mail it back to me! I was so impressed with that honesty and service. Location of the hotel in excellent too -- we walked to Old Montreal (about 15 min) one night and there are many choices of bars and restaurants right next to the hotel. Breakfast selection is not huge but again, the setting and staff were just excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it to everyone

Thank you for all the good words here and for recommanding our little 25 rooms hotel. We look forward to welcome you back Marc-André Ladouceur Manager and co-owner
