Lovely, Historic Hotel in Downtown Montreal

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Cons: The hotel could use a larger parking garage.
Location: Located one block away from St. Catherine Street - a major shopping district.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. The hotel is an historic property with all the modern amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the décor was traditional and tasteful. Our room was on the 6th floor overlooking the cathedral - a beautiful view. The price of the room was very reasonable compared with other 4 star hotels in Montreal so it was a good value.

A Great Montreal Hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Its central location in downtown Montreal and easy access by train. We found the room to be most comfortable and the staff courteous and pleasant
Cons: Suggest a few of the lobby chairs need refurbishing.
Location: The Queen Elizabeth Hotel is located close to Old Montreal with all its historical sites and to Place Ville Marie for those who enjoy shopping.
Had a wonderful visit to a historic city. We were able to visit with several relatives and enjoy the amenities of this fine city with its charming cafes , restaurants and sites. The unexpected but historical skits at the Market Place in Old Montreal were delightful as were the artisans who wore the costumes of the period and displayed their pottery and weaving skills reminiscent of a bygone era .The cobble stone streets, quaint shops and charming cafes adds to the uniqueness of the city of Montreal. The tour of beautiful Notre Dame Basilica was most inspiring and one of the highlights of our trip.

Beautiful, well located property, first rate staff

Posted Aug 24, 2015
We stayed 3 nights in the Fairmont "Or" (Gold), with access to the lounge. It was a tremendous value, and the staff were first rate. Kudos in particular to Karine Valois, who, when we asked a simple question about the John & Yoko room, actually arranged for us to see it. It's those "over and above" experiences that truly differentiate a hospitality experience.

Thought it would be better

Posted Aug 23, 2015
I asked for a family non smoking room they gave me a room with a terrible smell of smoke and when I asked to change they changed to a room just below hotel constructions. Size of a room is no way to accommodate family of 4 as they said. Check in staff are not friendly at all

Nice hotel with train/subway below.

The train station provides lots of food choices. The subway allows us to get to most places without driving.
