Needs a Reno!

This hotel is outdated and needs a reno. The rooms are too small. The bathroom is TINY and it still has one of those shower/tubs with the curtain instead of a door!

Nice hotel close to everything

The hotel is old, but they are closing it for a year for renovations. That's the only reason I gave it a 3 star

Good location. Worn out hotel. Staff variable.

Pros: Location

Location: Train station ,walking distance to museums, stores restaurants.
When I reserved the room I had no idea that the hotel would be closing soon for a complete renovation. Had I known that I would not have stayed there. While well located for the train, it is a very tired old convention hotel, the bellman was snarky when I pleasantly greeted him in English and when I called for information about a "shuttle" to the airport, the person on the other end was downright argumentative that it was NOT a shuttle!! Clearly I forgot to say "public" airport shuttle when asking! No way I will consider staying even after renovation. Stayed at Hotel le German earlier and will go back there on the next trip.

This hotel is showing its age. Rooms are small and in need of a facelift. Bathrooms are small. Comfortable and clean but not a 4-5 star stay.

Hotel is located within walking distance to Downtown Montreal as well as Old Montreal which is exactly what we wanted...did not use the car at all the whole time.

Business hotel for meetings

Pros: Everything was close for my meetings. It was also 100% up to par on all services.
Cons: You get what you pay for here. If they increased anything, the cost would be higher. For it's class, it is very reasonably priced.
Location: Right downtown in Montreal. It is above the main train station.
At every interaction with staff, they were courteous and thoughtful, in both English and French.

Convenient hotel for business

Always a convenient and pleasant stay. Beautiful, charming hotel however updating the rooms/suites will assist it's overall appreal I'm sure.
