Pleasant Hotel in the Latin Quarter

Posted Jan 6, 2018
Pros: Proximity to major attractions and public transit; nice clean rooms; good service at the front desk
Cons: The underground parking is very small with extremely few spots; room service stops at midnight, which was annoying on New Years
Location: In the Latin Quarter, close to the Old Town and to Downtown, right by a Metro station. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
The Lord Berri is really easy to get to from the highway, has excellent bilingual service, and is in a very good location. The Latin Quarter, in which it is located, has plenty of shops and restaurants to peruse, and the hotel itself is only a few blocks from the Old Town and Downtown. It's also only a block from the nearest Metro station, and since there is parking on site, it makes it incredibly easy to get around from there.

Good for a night

Posted Jan 2, 2018
Pros: The only thing I enjoyed about the hotel was how convenient it was to the metro (Berri UQAM) and to bars and restaurants.
Cons: Housekeeping should check if the essential is working and notify the front desk
I have been in smaller cheaper hotels and those were better than Lord Berri. The room was too cold even when the heating was turned up to the max. The toilet was not working, we had to full the tank to flush every time. There was a crack in the bathtub. This was not a problem for us but it is for the room below us long term.

Not pleased at all.

Posted Dec 30, 2017
The beds are very uncomfortable. The TVs don’t turn on unless you’re pointing the remote at a very specific angle (???) The parking lot is cramped with stuff so you don’t have room to maneuver. Staff did switch our room and did the best she could to make us feel comfortable.

Good lodging. Close to everything.

Third time at this hotel. Good reliable safe lodging.Christmas week is not busy, so reasonable rates. Near where want to be. Quiet and no nasty surprises. -- with extra charges for anything above the basics. One bar soap for two people extra charge for local calls. Extra charge for second coffees in room. No parking on site. Very pricey parking lot beside hotel. Major reno at ion scheduled for last year never happened. Oveal. A 3.5 out of 5.

Quaint hotel in walking distance of Old Montreal

Posted Nov 19, 2017
It's a nice hotel for the cost. You have to give them a $200 deposite, having a credit card on file isn't enough but the staff are very sweet and helpful. Breakfast is not included but there's a restaurant where you can go and buy breakfast if that's what you want.

Under construction, so interior finishes may not be what it is at a later date

Hotel is showing its age. Room was dark and dated.
