Goose down feathersPosted Sep 14, 2015
All I have to say is the pillows, comforter, and bedding was the most comfortable I've ever slept on! They upgraded us to very private room that was extremely quiet. I'm a light sleeper, so I tend to wake up from the elevator and noise in the hallways. I had one of the best sleeps of my life! Great location in Old Montreal. Across from a cool, happening bar that the locals hang out at. Walk down to Pierre for lunch at Bistro Marche De La Villette. Excellent customer service and staff. Nice lobby bar and I heard the rooftop bar is cool, but it was raining and closed. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful hotel, friendly, helpful staffPosted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: Beautiful rooms, nice downstairs and terrace bar, very accommodating staff, good location for dining
Cons: Our only complaint was noise from the bar across the street but I'm not sure how the hotel could improve the situation.
Location: A few blocks from Notre Dame Basilica and a few more to the closest Metro rail. Many nice restaurants and galleries.
We booked the petite suite at Hotel Nelligan and it was beautiful - stone/brick walls, windows that opened to the streets below, bathroom with two person jet tub and rainfall style shower. Unfortunately, our room was on the third floor, directly across from the door/outdoor courtyard area to a bar which was open until 3 am. I am a self-confessed crazy person about noise when I'm trying to sleep, so this bothered me more than it would have bothered an average person. The front desk offered earplugs, but I was still able to hear the noise through these. I spoke to the staff that night and the next morning about moving rooms to a quieter area of the hotel and both staff members with whom I spoke were extremely nice and did not make me feel as though I was being a problem. We were moved the next day to a new room, but it was no longer the suite (they called to discuss this with me before moving us) and although it was still a nice and attractive room, it wasn't as nice as what we had before. Other than that, we loved staying at Hotel Nelligan. We were delivered chocolates and bottles of water every night and housekeeping straightened the room two times a day. The downstairs bar was nice and the terrace bar was a great place to grab a drink and look at the city. There are many good restaurants located around the hotel in Old Montreal and a metro station nearby. If it weren't for the bar noise this would have been a 5 star review for sure.

Great location in Old MontrealPosted Sep 4, 2015
Pros: I liked the central location in Old Montreal
Cons: The rooms backing on to the lane are very noisy early in the morning when the garbage trucks come.
Location: Central Old Port location, lots of restaurants and cafes, historical buildings and tourist activities along the front.
The hotel is located just behind the Notre Dame Basilica which is a very central location for the Old Port as well as no more than a 20 minute walk downtown. We didn't try out all the facilities but did have appetisers and drinks on the rooftop patio which is worth a visit. We had a suite which is a really good size. The down side was that our room overlooked the back lane where all the bins are and every morning around 6:30am the garbage trucks would come and wake us up with the banging and noise.

Recommended this hotel to everyone. It's located right behind the Notre-Dame Basilica. Two blocks away from metro. Nice restaurants and pastry shops around. Room is very cute and neat. Room service is twice a day. I really enjoyed to stay here during my trip.

Very nice hoterPosted Aug 21, 2015
Location: Great dining nearby, touristy, but food and service were excellent everywhere we dined. Location was perfect
Hotel has a great location. Was very hot when we where there and the a/c in the room was very insufficient. We had asked for foam, not feather pillows before arriving. Upon arriving we confirmed the request at the front desk and was told it was taken care of. When we got to the room, it had not been taken care of, took over an hour to get straightened out. Staff overall was excellent.

Great Hotel. Can't say anything bad.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Location, Friendly Staff, Very Clean
Cons: Not a single thing!
Location: There are so many things nearby to see and do, which include Old Port, Strolling through St Paul street, many good restaurants nearby.
I absolutely loved the hotel, the location and the staff. Everyone was more than helpful. I booked this for a long weekend getaway. The concierge desk was super helpful in showing us how to get around. We saw several different neighborhoods from taking a short Metro ride that was very quick and easy. I will definitely return.

Pros: The location and the rooms. Nice breakfast
Cons: Outdoor smoking is common in Montreal, but the rooftop bar was almost intolerable for non-smokers. Would be great to have nonsmoking section
Location: Very convenient to metro. In addition to the old section of town, be sure to explore the Plateau, Village, botanical gardens and Mont-royal
The only problem was that it was a very busy wedding weekend in Montreal so the hotel lobby and bar were packed, and upon our arrival the indoor courtyard area was reserved for a private party. There was also very loud music both friday and Saturday night, with a very crowed and noisy lobby. The room we were given, however, was beautiful, comfortable and quiet (which was appreciated).
