Clean Hotel close to downtown but rooms are TINY!!

Posted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: The location was good (downtown and near the US Consulate) and it was clean and tidy.
We came to Montreal for an appointment at the US Consulate and wanted a reasonably priced hotel room nearby, so we booked a room at the Travelodge. We rented a car at the airport and drove to the hotel, arriving late in the evening. When we arrived, we found the clerk to be pleasant and accommodating. However, we found that we had to pay an extra $22.00 to park our car in the parking garage (there was no free parking). Then when we arrived at our room, we were shocked at how small it was. It was clean and modern, but there was only enough room for the bed and a small desk and space to walk around them. The room was tiny, but the bathroom was even tinier. The corner of the bathroom was cut off at angle to allow room to get past the corner of the bed. Travel Trailers have more room. It was not worth the price we paid.

The room was OK, it's fine if no major facilities are required but the carpet was dirty. Staff was generally unfriendly, nobody was greeting the guests.

narrow room and petty breakfast

Posted Jan 11, 2017
it's new and clean, it's also acceptable if considering its price for the narrow room and petty breakfast. breakfast is too simple, no meat...

We paid for a queen but they gave us a double. The cleaning lady wasn't exactly thorough either and didn't replenish toiletries. Also, the continental breakfast basically only had croissant and cereal. However, the staff was really polite and the building is really clean and well looked-after.

Great location and friendly staff

Posted Dec 26, 2016
Pros: Trivago.com
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Walking distance to many attractions. Airport shuttle is only few steps away.
Room is small, but clean and new. Great location to everywhere. The choices of the free breakfast is the only thing I found a little disappointing.

Super small but super comfortable

Posted Dec 23, 2016
The hotel was nice, even though I didn't use any facilities. I was impressed by how small the room was, but it was very clean and comfortable. It's in the middle of downtown, but it was really quiet inside the room.

Great base for visit to Quebec City

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Located in the old city. Everything is within walking distance. It was fantastic location. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We ended up in a studio, it was extremely spacious and comfortable. When I booked, I noted there were some negative post. I had no such problem or issue. What I would say is that you need to note that this is an old building so expect things like creaky floorboards etc!

Overnight stay.

Posted Dec 15, 2016
Hotel close to old downtown and china town. Was an easy walk to old downtown. Staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast has a good variety. Only problem was that the hot water for the tea was not very hot. Room was small, but we were only sleeping there. I did find that the T.V. was too high on the wall and made it hard on the neck to watch it.

Good afternoon dear guest ! We appreciate your comments and these feedback are very important to the development of a better service. We want to let you know that the restaurant has been notified and they shall do their best not to have that type of issues with the hot water. They are happy about the good general impression you had about the breakfast. we apologize about the placement of the TV but unfortunately due to the dimensions of the room , there is not much we can do about it. We thank you again for your stay and wish you great day and a happy holidays

Everything was great except there are limited parking space so book it early, however you can park at the Sheridan Centre which is not too far away. Hotel is walking distance to China Town and shirt drive to everything else.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. I understand that parking in Montreal can become a frustrating experience. We are not able to reserve parking spaces in advance because we operate on a first come first serve basis. However we are always more than happy to guide you to our many nearby parking lots. Glad to see that you were still able to enjoy our nearby attractions and central location. Hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon enough! Warm Regards,
