Decent hotel, if you don't mind smoking.

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Pros: Price, location, friendly staff.
Cons: Strong filters on the window a/c units.
Location: The Atwater metro stop is close by.
While the room itself was okay, smoking is allowed on the balconies. The window a/c units pick up this smoke and somehow amplify it, causing the room to smell strongly like smoke many times in the middle of the night, or whenever neighbors decide to go out on their balcony. The staff did say that they would call the surrounding rooms, but since smoking is allowed on the balconies, there isn't much they can do.

It's a Value... and you get what you paid for

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: The location was REALLY good. It allowed for a comfortable walk witha lot of restaurants. A train station and starbucks were withn view of the hotel
Cons: The lobby looked modern and new. The rooms need to be updated
Location: I went for Montreal Jazz Festival and Carifiesta. I'm not sure things to do are date dependent so if you re reading this, google what to do when you a
The hotel was one block from Saint Catherine... The main street in Montreal, ad a 2 minte walk to a train which also was convenient. Street parking looked horrible, but we were able to get a spot inside the hotel. The parking is first come first serve so get there early for check-in. Parking under the hotel is really tight. No jeep is going underground. The room... It was bigger than I expected. My room smelled. They say it is a non smoking hotel (this is not a ding against hotel) when I was on the balcony, I witnessed about 5 other people smoking out there. The room had a kitchen with dishes available to use. The furniture inside was REALLY old. one of the TV's wasn't a flat screen. Bed's were comfortable. Air conditioning wasn't central air. It used regular window Ac's. Neither one was super cold, but I was comfortable enough. The one thing that actually annoyed me was when I asked for an extra soap, and the cleaning women in the hallway told me I had to go downstairs to get it... What cleaning women pushing a cart doesn't have soap.

Nice quiet hotel close to shopping

Posted Jul 10, 2017
My partner and I had 3 nights at the hotel. The location us surprisingly close to Alex is Nihon shopping mall and the Metro (subway / bus) which took us to the old city and other tourist sites. The cost was very reasonable....we will likely be back!

Room was a bit dated, but overall excellent

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Liked everything
Cons: Wouldn't expect anything . Updating rooms costs money that would raise the rates
Location: Prime location
Room was big, clean and a bit dated. Prime location. Roof terrace was great. Kids liked the pool and sauna. Beer across the street. Would be excellent if you had to bring young kids since there was lots of room for a play pen and stroller inside.

When I booked my trip to this hotel on expedia it "stated" breakfast included right under, but upon arrival I was told that it was not included and unfortunately my itinerary didn't state it either. However the front desk staff honoured me the free breakfast for 1 of the 2 days of my stay, which was nice. The breakfast was very simple, not much of a variety but it was tasty. We tried the pool and the gym once. Both were in decent condition but the pool area did smell a little odd. Our room was very nice and clean, bed was comfy. We had a small kitchenette too which was useful. The balcony in our room provided a grear view but there weren't any chairs to sit and the railing wasn't the sturdiest so we didn't go out there much. Overall it was a good experience but not worth the $150 a night we paid.

Simple hotel, affordable price.

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Nice suite style room with a small kitchen. Close to a metro station and close to downtown. Good price for the location as well as a roof top pool, gym, sauna, and view. Older building that could use a little fixing but you pay for what you get. Half apartment, half hotel, there's a few characters that live/ stay there but overall it's decent.

Montreal appartement in a great downtown location

Posted Jun 25, 2017
It was a great stay, if your looking for luxury this is NOT it. These are one bedroom appartements with kitchenettes, older but very clean and great staff and service with parking (extra$). Conveniently located in downtown, near metro station, easy walking to BellCenter and close to Saint Catherine. Love it!

Decent hotel with balcony

Posted Jun 4, 2017
Generally positive experience. Rooms are pretty dated (old mattress, tube TV, WiFi extra). The balcony was a nice surprise and the kitchen came in handy. Staff were fantastic.

Overall is good. But the bathtub is clogged.

Posted Jun 4, 2017
A very gentle receptionist welcomed us. Everything was good until we took shower. When we realized bathtub clogged, I went to front desk asking for help. The staff's attitude was like, "I'm sorry to hear that, but it's none of my business". He gave me a plunger and asked me to fix it myself. I saw poops on that plunger, and he told me that was the only one they have. I refused. In the next morning, they sent a plumber to our room with a plunger, the same plunger. I told him please do not unclog the bathtub if you only have one plunger and sent him back. I don't know if any luck guy will use a bathtub that unclogged by this plunger after we left.
