Great location wonderful facilities and staff.Posted Oct 1, 2015
We selected this hotel because of its location in Old Montreal. We could not have been happier with the location just a couple of blocks from the old pier and kitty corner to Notre Dame cathedral. It was quiet but central. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the afternoonr refreshment in the lobby (ice cold lemon water). The only issue was that the window didn't open but I had been aware of that at the time. I hadn't realized that it would impact our stay (stuffy humid after a shower)and in future will book a room with a window that opens.

Lovely boutique hotel in Vieux Montreal, within walking distance of the harbor, excellent restaurants and several museums. Highly service-oriented staff, although restaurant service was sub-par for breakfast. Beautifully restored old buildings with modern facilities. An excellent hotel choice.

Beautiful hotel in the midst of Old Montreal!Posted Sep 22, 2015
The hotel was excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. It has a Japanese restaurant on the lower floor, a nice lounge/restaurant on the main floor, and a terrace lounge on the 8th floor, which was outside on the rooftop! Everything you need was within walking distance.

Right in the heart of Old MontrealPosted Sep 21, 2015
Very pleasant hotel. Great location, great staff. We had a room in building one which had a fair amount of outside music/noise due to the terrace located on the street below. That would be my only note - that if you need a totally quiet room maybe one of the other buildings within the hotel would be better.

Cons: We had breakfast delivered to our room and the quality of the meal was poor. Your typical breakfast condiments were not on the tray.
Location: Hotel is in a great location! Easy walking distance to downtown and close by to lots of good restaurants in old Montreal!
We truly enjoyed our stay. We had a mini honeymoon and the hotel surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne! The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating.

Great hotel in a wonderful cityPosted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: The staff makes this hotel.
Cons: The only issues I experienced were that first I had pre paid my stay but saw charges going against my account for the room, you should advise guests.
Location: The old city is the place to stay in Montreal.
My wife and I stayed at the Place d'Armes for 5 nights as part of out 40th wedding anniversary and had a very nice experience. Food at the hotel was excellent and the staff was the very best, helpful, polite and accommodating to our terrible french.

Always "First Class" service and accommodations.Posted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: Excellent location in Old Montreal. Rooms and amenities are what you look for in a boutique style hotel.
Location: Within very close walking distance to the Old Port and 20 minutes to downtown Montreal.
Excellent service and accommodations. The management at both the hotel and KYO restaurant are very accommodating, professional and make you feel at home. Don't pass up an opportunity to sit on the 8th floor roof top patio where food, drinks and music are served with care and a smile. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Nice hotel in Old MontrealPosted Sep 9, 2015
Cons: The lighting in the room was very dim--not uncommon in hotels these days.
The hotel is in Old Montreal but not in the very charming part which is over on Rue St. Paul Street. That is only a short three block walk. It is well situated for that size hotel and is complete with all amenities, a charming roof top bar and very nice restaurant. The staff is very helpful.

Well, you be the judge..Posted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Nothing. This is not a 4 star hotel but a poorly managed company with undertrained and rude staff.
Cons: Safety, service and elevators. After private events, they moved lounge furniture out, completely cleared the space, we had to deal with movers as well
Location: Location was really good and I guess this is the only reason why the hotel is still in business.
The overall experience was terrible, not safe and loud. Sat - check in was strange, we walked in and all 3 front desk associates were just looking at us without saying a word. We greeted them, introduced ourselves and asked to check in. In the room, we discovered our toilet was leaking from the handle, the floor around it was soaking wet; we reported it to the front desk. They promised to look into it. There is only one elevator and both guests and service people use it. So, after a line of guests, we were finally able to get to the elevator, took a ride to the basement to pick up a maid and then back to the main floor. View of dirty towels and sheets is exactly what i want on my getaway in 4 star hotel! The night was horrible as they hosted a private event in the lounge downstairs, so we didn't sleep all night due to loud music. Sun - we left the room at around 9am, walked around the entire day in 93 degree weather. We came back to the hotel at 4.30pm only to discover that they are still cleaning our room. So, all sweaty (sorry!) and tired, we were forced to go to the rooftop for a glass of wine. It was packed, hot & expensive. When we made it back to the room, the toilet was leaking again. Oh, we also took 5 elevator rides down to the service area to pick up maids in pm. Overall, there were long lines to the elevator, guests gave up and just took the stairs. Sun night - I woke at 1am, someone opened our door & slammed it. Bad dream? Nope, door latch was half open next am!
