Small getaway from the everyday

The hotel was very easy to find, and while the valet parking wasn't very well situated, we were eventually able to find it and leave our car with the very accommodating valet. The gentleman at reception was warm in his greeting and explained the costs for the room and the amenities therein. The card keys were very easy to use and the elevator ride was pleasant and not jerky (there was no unpleasant feeling as it came to a stop on our floor). Upon entering the room, I noticed that it was very clean from top to bottom. The bed was very comfortable and professionally made, a much better night sleep than I've had at a hotel in a long time. You could stir in bed and the person sleeping next to you would never have noticed. With the exception of the internet speed (5 mbps download, I clocked it) and the fact that the ethernet port (wired internet) wasn't working in the room, I'd hardly have a complaint in the time we spent at the hotel (they DID send someone in an attempt to fix the problem, but it was a problem of a more technical nature than maintenance was able to fix, so I do cut them some slack in that regard). We found the prices of the food at the bistro a little pricey, despite the elegant atmosphere (glancing through the outside window mind you). Checking out was very fast and easy and our car was brought around very quickly.
