Better than I thought!!

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: Great front door staff. Nice sized room (and we were in a small one!!). Big bathroom. Low pet fee. Friendly, accommodating room staff. Location.
Cons: A little better cleaning in the public areas. More friendly front desk staff. Polish the bottom of elevator doors. Hose down sidewalks in the AM.
Location: The hotel is so central that you're virtually near everything.
We went for a long weekend. Most staff were very friendly and helpful, especially those at the front door. The valets and doormen at this property are phenomenal!!!! The rooms are lovely; great colors, ample size (we had two dogs and their crates with us), comfortable bed and great bathroom. All went well here for us and we were surprised as we usually stay at slightly more upscale hotels (usually because of the dogs). We didn't want to leave. We'll definitely return again.

Close to main amenities.

Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Gym
We enjoyed our 3 day star at this hotel. Staff were friendly and competent and the hotel is located right at the centre of where you'd want to be. A main shopping area is one block away and two subway stations within an easy walk. There are many restaurants to choose from in the surrrounding streets and cafes for breakfast, including a budget priced Tim Hortons. Every effort is made to make your stay feel welcoming and our room was clean and well serviced. The hotel is somewhat old n places and there's not much that can be done. An example was our air-con which is just an old system. There were significant building works on the front side but luckily we weren't there. The gym was a little tired too but there again, had enough to work up a sweat. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Not a 4.5 star hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2017
4 stars would be very generous, 3-3.5 is more like it. Location is good but the overall it's old and run down. The glasses in the bathroom had lipstick on them when I arrived. Major construction right across the street that started early in the AM.

Loved this hotel!

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: The decor was beautiful. The rooms were stunning.
Location: With in easy walking distance to shopping and art galleries, a 30 minute walk to Old Montreal for historical tours and the port.
We visited the city over a weekend for our 10th wedding anniversary and everything, the room, the service, the staff were excellent. We loved it and had a great stay!

Beautiful room and excellent service!

Posted Jul 10, 2017
We truly enjoyed our stay at Loew's Montreal. Our room was one of the most beautiful and luxurious we've stayed in. Every member of the staff - from the front desk to room service- were extremely friendly and helpful. Feels like a boutique hotel with lots of charm. The hotel's location is close to tons of shopping - and within walking distance to the old part of the city (about a 25 minute walk). Highly recommend this hotel! It was a treat to stay there.

Great Location!

Posted Jul 8, 2017
Unfortunately there is so much construction in Montreal it is hard to avoid it. Just make sure to ask for a room on the other side of the building with construction. Otherwise fabulous hotel with wonderful staff! Also the rooms...so clean and comfy.

Dear Meems, We are delighted to read that you greatly appreciated our location downtown Montreal and the comfort of our guestrooms. We sincerely apologize for the noise encountered during your stay. Unfortunately, this situation is out of our control. On your next stay, it will be a pleasure to assign you a guestroom located in a different wing. We hope to see you soon! Warmly, Saralee Menard

The place to stay if you are into shopping

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: It was a very attractive, modern hotel.
Location: The Fine Arts Museum and McGill University were within walking distance.
The hotel was very nice but turned out to be a distance from the areas we were interested in. Next time I visit Montreal, I would stay in Old Montreal. The Loew's Vogue is around the corner from the "Fifth Avenue" of the city so very handy for people who love to shop.
