Novotel Montreal January 2017

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: Clean, Modern, Perfect Location.
Cons: Fix the elevators and Parking is expensive compared to regular rates, it should be reduced for hotel guests.
Location: Perfect location in Montreal, center of everything. Perfect for attending Hockey or downtown bars and shopping.
This was my 5th stay at thus hotel, I've seen many improvements during my stays, however this was the second trip that only one elevator was available during the entire stay which is an inconvenience when it is busy. This was also the second trip where I was awoken because of construction, 3 days of banging construction debris into a dumpster right below my room. The last trip there was tons of construction in front of hotel, but that at least looks finished now.

Great hotel, close to the bell Centre

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Stayed here while they were doing renovations. Not sure how the rooms looked before the change, but the completed rooms were great. Must thank the staff, very helpful for choosing places to go check out. Location is great too. Right down town, a block from st. Catherine's. Even when it's cold out, Montreal is a beautiful city.

OK if you are in Montreal for a Habs game

Posted Dec 14, 2016
Pros: Bar is OK. Only 1 elevator worked.
Cons: Renovate and repair
Close to the Bell Centre which is a plus; my 9th floor room was outdated...my friends had brand new rooms on the 4th floor. Big difference, same price. Disappointing

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent stay and for sharing your experience. I apologize for the inconveniences caused by our elevator being out of service. It should be done by mid-february. You are correct, some of our rooms are more dated than others : we are in the process of renovating them entirely. We finished a few floors, the rest of the hotel will be done by mid-March.Then we will be able to offer a complete inventory of renovated standard rooms. Best regards Tom

Hockey Game Overnight Stay

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Closness to Bell Centre for hockey game.
Cons: TV reception was terrible.
Location: Great location for Bell Centre and other food options.
We stayed here one night recently after attending a hockey game at the Bell Center. A VERY short walk away plus close to many other food options. Stayed here 4 yrs ago also and was good but room was even better this time. Very comfortable bed and pillows. BIG negative this time. TV reception was VERY VERY poor. I feel sorry for families with kids wanting to watch and being stuck inside with no good reception. If this was fixed then it would be even better. But the TV IS a BIG deal. Not sure how they think they can compete with the MANY other hotels in the city without good TV reception.

Quick Trip to Montreal

Posted Nov 29, 2016
I've stayed at the Novotel several times. I am never disappointed. The underground garage is bonus, and cost the same to park in as most the lots in the area.

Nice hotel close to Bell Centre

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Hotel is clean, quiet and close to shopping and Bell Centre. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze and staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good for a casual dinner. The toilet in our room didn't flush properly and had a constant sound of running water. Otherwise, a great stay.

Novotel Montreal Centre

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: Great location downtown, steps away from Rue Ste Catherine, Bell Centre and transit
Cons: Some folks might have mentioned that they would want a power plug closer to the bed.
Location: The hotel is between Ste Catherine and Boul. Rene-Levesque on Rue de la Montange... so there are plenty of restaurants and shopping around.
The Hotel is in a great location in the downtown area, a few steps away from Rue Ste Catherine and the Bell Centre. Accessing the Montreal Metro is within walking distance as well. The staff are friendly and available to help! The hotel room was very comfortable as well.
