Disappointed

Posted Jul 17, 2016
I was excited to go to Sheraton for my trip to Montreal prior to my trip as I was going to be staying nearby the airport. Upon my arrival, my anticipation turned into a disappointment. All receptionists were not smiling nor friendly. I asked to ensure that I was collecting spg points for this trip, she said she will search for my address, then she completely ignored it. I thought it was applied, however later I realized that it wasn't applied as I have multiple properties with different addresses, and she was searching under a wrong address. She didn't say anything that she couldn't find my membership. I also told her about having a dog. She explained about pet fee, however did not provide a pet bed nor provided a welcome package. I later found about it, and told a different receptionist at the check-out, and she wondered of not receiving it, and gave 500 points into my spg membership. My room was spacious, bed and pillows were comfortable. Very outdated, however it was ok. I had a lot of hair around sink when I checked in, however I convinced myself that it was ok although it really bothered me. Cleaning ladies were friendly though. Next day, house keeping was much better. I don't think I will ever visit Sheraton at Montreal airport location again because of reception staffs being really unpleasant. It ruined overall impression. Reception staff also failed to explain about facilities or services they offer. I've never been to any hotel this unfriendly before.

Sheraton Montreal Airport

Posted Jul 15, 2016
Pros: Proximity to the airport and the outside dining area.
Cons: Dining room staffing and service need improvement. Also, why have room phones and speed dials to various hotel departments if no one answers?
Location: The Montreal International airport is nearby.
This is a nice enough Sheraton --- seems to be working hard to stay "modern." Recommended for a clean, easy and mostly pleasing place to stay for one requiring close proximity to the Montreal airport. The restaurant service is incredibly slow (does not seem to matter if it's dinner or breakfast). Staff are inattentive and uncaring. The food is quite nice and the outside dining area (for dinner) is enjoyable. The inside area (for breakfast) is also nice. The crew for both meals, though, is understaffed. Dinner took nearly an hour to receive (including the starter salads which were delivered with the entrees) and the breakfast staff pays more attention to stacking dirty dishes (in a nearly empty restaurant) than to patrons who want to enjoy their experience. It's easy to feel jilted by a formerly trusted outlet when such poor, negligent service occurs. Sorry Sheraton but it's true. As far as the rooms go, they are nice. Bathrooms are stocked with hand towels and bath towels but no wash cloths. Calls to front desk, housekeeping, guest services go unanswered. The old room phones with their one-button speed dials don't seem to connect to any department.

Rooms were nice and pool is amazing. Food was overlooked and greasy. Always carry your own towels, when asked hotel staff to bring more towels at end of evening when there were still 40 people in pool and no towels available, staff brought 5 towels only. When asked again, they said that was all they had. With this being said, the hotel rules are 1)that you do not bring in any towels, that you use their towels 2) that you are not to walk around the hotel in wet swimsuit.......so I ask what is an adult and a child to do when wet and staff don't bring you a towel?? Very very disappointed in all levels of staff!!

Found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. Restaurant was pricing for their morning weekday buffet but the balance of the menu was good

Convenient Hotel

Posted May 14, 2016
Pros: Room is very nice and WiFi is readily available
Cons: Coffee was $4 !!
Location: close to airport and amenities
Close to the airport and taxis always available. I got a coffee to go and it cost me $4 !! That was the only thing that bothered me...a lot of places have free coffee for guests.

Renovated interior...walking distance to airport.

Posted May 3, 2016
Pros: Renovated areas.
Cons: Parking is very tight...but they have vast amounts of grass areas in the parking lot that could be used to increase capacity.
Location: Airport.
Very nicely updated public spaces; reception, restaurant, bar, etc... Rooms have been renovatedas well. Hallways are a bit tired looking. The food and drink in the Eclipse are very good and reasonably priced (in hotel standards). Would stay there again.
