Very nice hotel,would not recommend it at the moment. There is construction outside the hotel so it was very noisy in the room even though we were on the 15th floor. I think Expedia should warn people that their stay will be unpleasant because of the noise.

Excellent location, immaculately clean rooms

Pros: Immaculately clean. Excellent and professional staff.
Location: Conveniently location within reach to McGill University, Concordia University, metro stations, the downtown and Mount Royale.
This hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown activities and Mount Royale.

Great location for shopping, museums dining

Pros: The bathroom and bedding.
Cons: our in room nespresso machine did not work.
Location: As told above shopping, museums, and great restaurants. Easy access from the 720.
We walked to Holts and Ogilvies easily and to the Ritz for drinks before dinner nearby. Breakfast on our hotel's terrace was lovely.

Pros: The staff at the bar.
Room was not cleaned before being given to me. Had to change rooms . Second room did not have shampoo. Check in , even though we were the only guests checking in was excruciatingly slow and inefficient. There was no coffee machine in the room, and to change the heating / cooling in the room I had to call the front desk, and they adjusted it from their side. Staff at the bar bar / restaurant were excellent. The quality if the steak was superb, rest if the food was mediocore. I EXPECTED FAR BETTER SERVICE/ROOM FROM A $400 per night room.

Nice and close to museums

Pros: The location
Cons: Service elevator usage after should be limited in the evening. It can be quite loud.
Location: McGill university, Museum des Beaux-Arts and McCord Museum
The location is perfect. You can walk to many of the tourist attractions. The hotel staff were nice enough. The room was close to the service elevator and it was used frequently. The noise from the usage was quite loud. Called the front desk to ask if this was normal. The person on the other end of the phone was very polite and said she would look into it. There was no follow up on the complaint.

The restaurant staff are terrible.

The room is very small. The restaurant staff are not patient. The foods are OK, but not great.

Excellent service!

The hotel staff at the Sofitel are amazing, and the restaurant has a delicious brunch on Sundays! The bed was very comfortable, but our king room was a little tight for 2 guests (each with a suitcase). I would definitely stay here again.

comfortable hotel in mid-town

Pros: location, bed, quiet, fitness room.
Cons: there was only coffee in the lobby on one morning. don't know why it isn't just there since there wasn't a maker in the room.
Location: lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. metro in walking distance. the mountain only a couple blocks north.
stayed here for a long weekend and it was very nice. the room was quiet for being on such a busy street. the bed was very comfortable. the bathroom was also large and clean. my wife was satisfied with the power of the hair dryer (as often in hotels they're a bit weak).

Belle expérience , le personnel est attentionné et courtois . La bouteille d'eau dans la voiture mise par le voiturier fut très apprécié , belle attention. Le seul bémol là fendeur de la chambre. C'est très très petit pour le prix je nous payons . On se croirait à New York où toutes les chèvres sont minuscules et à un fort prix.
