Chateau lovely!Posted Sep 26, 2015
Pros: Totally charming and very relaxed too, all round great experience.
Location: A little bit out of the way hence needing a car but also good location in terms of getting to Bordeaux centre and the vineyards.
A wonderful experience with fantastic host, Francois and his team. The dinner was superb and we loved our room and met some fun people too! We probably should have hired a car but did manage to get around by taxi, although expensive way to do it.

Perfect retreat near BordeauxPosted Sep 8, 2015
Chateau la Moune was for us a perfect stay in the Bordeaux area. It is beautiful chateau with very nicely decorated rooms and a lovely suite upstairs. Breakfast and the optional dinner were both great. Francois, the host was not only very nice, friendly, and accommodating, but a great cook and multilingual! The staff are all very cordial and went out of their way to assure us a great stay. We are certainly looking forward to returning Bordeaux and even more, returning to Chateau la Moune.

Relaxing with good food and drinkPosted Aug 24, 2015
Mine host Francios was very accommodating . His style is very relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast goes on until 12 and then Francios will recommend places to see and eat. Or you can spend a quiet day around the pool .

Fantastic Place to stay - simply perfect!Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: Facilities, cleanliness, pool, rooms, staff, wine
Location: wine tours, shopping
The website does not give credit to how large the rooms, high ceilings and grounds are. 5* luxury at every turn with clean linen, modern/new bathrooms, quite privacy to relax in, amazing facilities, its simply a boutique hotel not a BnB! The pool is breathtaking set in private gardens, the food is wonderful and cooked by the owners, the attention to detail with the breakfast/tablecloths/real napkinks/sparkling cutlery/spotless flawless hygiene..... I would have expected to pay more to stay as such a top notch place - its tranquil peace in a beautiful surrounding! We will be returning! We went on a wine tour, and into St Emilion and into Bordeaux for some shopping - taxis are expensive in France so be prepared for that - We had everything arranged by Franciose who owns the hotel, he couldn't have been more helpful and really cared that our stay went well. Bravo Chateaux Le Mourne! we will be back!

Gastronomisk upplevelse i unik slottsmiljö!Posted Aug 6, 2015 on Hotels

Excellent location and hostPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: The location, the food, the host, everything
Location: The location is very close to Saint Emilion, a very quaint and interesting town to walk around. Very close to many good vineyards.
The chateau is a lovely B&B with a wonderful host - Francois. He was our chef for two nights and the food was outstanding. We stayed in the Bordeaux room and it was quite large with an extremely comfortable king size bed. Francois did everything to make our stay in Bordeaux special. It was just perfect.
