Misty view cottages was the highlight of our trip, this place is so peaceful and relaxing. My partner and I felt all the worries of the world drip away in the heated plunge pool and enjoyed reading on the day bed. The spa is very romantic and the bed was super comfy. We just liked everything about this place and will definitely return.

Very relaxed weekend away with my love. Our hosts greated us at the reception with lovely breakfast hamper. All you need for 2 mornings. The cabin had the best views of the lake. Romantic setting and very comfortable. Thankyou

We had such s lovely romantic weekend here. Lovely cottage, peaceful and gorgeous view. We really loved the little extras - quality Manchester, chocolates, breakfast hamper, coffee and condiments,, dvds, bath salts, robes. Just small things that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay in an amazing setting!
We had a wonderful weekend away staying at the Misty View Cottages. Colin was very friendly and welcoming and provided helpful information on courtesy buses for nearby locations. Our cottage could not have been lovelier, with an amazing view over the lake. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast hamper, including the locally sourced produce, the welcome brownie (delicious!) and the lovely robes. Place is just a short drive (20mins or less) to everything you want in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay at Misty View cottages
Misty View Cottages is a great place for peace and quiet, with Montville just 5 minutes drive away for shopping, and the Sunshine Coast 30 minutes away for the beach. We stayed in the Bali cottage which was a great setup with a yummy breakfast hamper provided, pool on the deck and fire for those cold nights.

We stayed in the balinese cottage. It was exceptional. Private pool and daybed on back door stop overlooking the amazing Lake Baroon. Room was beautiful. Private & Secluded. Very relaxing.

Romantic weekend away in the mountain
On our arrival at Montville Misty View Cottages, we were greeted by Colin in a warm and friendly manner. The view of Lake Baroon from the reception was spectacular and we couldn't wait to get to our cottage. The cottage was clean and spacious, everything we required for our weekend was available. The view of the lake especially in the morning while the mist was present took our breath away. We spent time admiring the view while enjoying a scrumptious breakfast supplied by Misty View Cottages. I ordered a cheese platter (all Maleny cheeses) and a bottle of Maleny Wine ( was excellent) and a BBQ platter which were already set up in the fridge. The BBQ platter was fresh and tasted great. Th rest of the weekend we did some sightseeing and enjoyed a rainforest walk to Kondalila Falls, a visit to Lake Baroon and of course the great shops at Montville. A quick trip to Flame Hill winery and a drive to the Glasshouse mountains on the way home ended a perfect weekend!

We booked online - and hoped it would be as good as it seemed online. We were delighted it was even better than this. Secluded position with fantastic scenic views and quiet ! The cabin / chalet was spacious (for 2) with a modern feel. Great layout with split level - living / kitchen (down) and bedroom / bath / ensuite (up 4 stairs). Tall ceilings and long windows to take in the views for all angles. Very clean, and everything you could want. The corner kitchen was well equipped with all utensils, even cling wrap and paper towels ! The host brought down a lovely breakfast basket. There was a deck BBQ (which we didn't use) but even this has tongs and a BBQ spatula ready to go. We stayed 2 nights - wished it could have been a week. Will definitely go again. 5/5 !!

Overall experience was great. Nice touches such as arrival chocolates and port. Breakfast hamper was very good and log fire certainly beats using the TV. Would recommend for couples wanting a relaxing short break away from the huddle and bustle of normal life. Great local attractions and bush walks abound.

A great place to disconnect in front of the fire, with only the sounds of the birds, and enjoying the beautiful local produce (with delicious eggs from their own chooks) supplied for breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and came home nice and relaxed.

Week to relax and recharge
We chose Misty View for a quiet week to relax and as a base to explore the Sunshine Coast. We couldn't have been happier with the location, comfort and privacy of our cottage. Colin and Donna certainly did everything they could to ensure our stay was as we had hoped. No request seemed to be an inconvenience and our breakfast hampers were very generous in size.
