“Immaculately clean, stunning interior, and perfect location were the first things I noticed about Docent’s Choice. Being half a Luddite the app for phone and figuring out how to turn the lights off and on involved me needing assistance. Not only did the staff help me, they didn’t even laugh at me or call me a “Boomer”. Great customer service! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Docent’s Choice. Everything was perfect! ”

The apartment we stayed in was roomy, impeccably clean, and well-furnished. We had everything we needed for our stay. “The Blind Tiger was one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in! The location was perfect – far enough away from the "bustle" of downtown but close enough to walk to many spots (Smalls was a favorite!). The daily breakfast was so great and the room, my goodness! Adorable, perfect, comfortable... best sleep of my life! Maggie was so helpful and accommodating and made our stay really special. All in all, highly recommend!”

“The staff were amazing, the room was amazing (the bathroom, the shower, the bed, the blackout curtains, the fancy robe, and the interior design were all superb), and the restaurant was fantastic! Unfortunately, I'm really sensitive to sound, and because the building is older, I could definitely hear small sounds in the plumbing, refrigeration, and/or ventilation that made it hard to sleep well. Additionally, the remote was a bit sluggish with the TV, and the previous guests' Netflix access……

“Clean, beautiful room with a vintage feel. Great staff, very attentive. If you have a show to go to they offer a car service to take you there. It’s a 5 minute walk to the theater though so that was nice. Tandem bakery is right next door. You have to get coffee and pastries. Make sure to get a loaded biscuit. ”

“Given there's no staff onsite, questions and communication are all remote, leading to delay in response. Rooms were cold and heating was hard to adjust. ”

“Excellent breakfast option for eggs or tasty fresh yogurt. One day out of four they strangely neglected to clean the room, even with a door sign requesting service, but the night front desk person took it upon herself to do so when we noted the problem after returning around dinner time. She’s a gem. Showers were excellent. Rooms were reasonably sized too. Request a third floor if you don’t like the sound of people above your room walking around as the hardwood floors amplify this. “I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Im very picky and they made sure my stay was a 10/10. The location couldn’t have been more perfect conveniently situated close to everything I wanted to see and do, yet still peaceful and relaxing. It made getting around incredibly easy and saved me so much……

“Parking was very expensive, and the garage did not work properly. The property was clean, there were some things like a coffee maker and a small refrigerator in the room. Cleaning takes place every two days which was not ideal. Front desk staff all had different answers to questions asked. ”
