Absolute paradise

We booked a premium overwater bungalow, so we always knew it'd be an amazing experience but it was better than we could have imagined! The whole resort was so beautiful and the staff were lovely. We got an early flight over at 7am so we were there before 8 - obviously our room wasn't ready yet but they set us up with somhowers, pool towels and everything so we could get relaxing straight away! If you're looking at the overwater bungalows, the premium ones are worth the extra money as you are over deep water with incredible snorkelling, and they're more private. They also have great sunset views. Food was good and not super expensive. There are kayaks, paddle bords and snorkelling gear all available for free

Excellent hôtel, bien situé avec un personnel très professionnel et sympathique. Nous avons très envie d'y retourner. Les points à améliorer: le wifi et la literie un peu molle.

En premier lieu merci pour avoir choisi le Manava Moorea pour votre séjour et avoir pris le temps de mettre un commentaire sur expedia. Pour ce qui concerne le WIFI , ne nous voilons pas la face , il couvre généralement tout l'hôtel mais nous rencontrons un souci de débit lié a plusieurs facteurs. le premier étant que nous sommes dans une zone de l'ile ou l'office des postes ne peut pas nous octroyer plus de débit, le second étant que le grillage mis sur les toitures pour empêcher le "pandanus" (Feuille vegetale qui confectionne nos toitures polynesiennes) de se lever ferait obstacle a un bon signal. J'avoue que ce n'est pas vraiment mon domaine mais je répète ce que les techniciens m'ont dit. C'est pour cette raison que nous avons centraliser la force du signal sur le lobby réception et bar ( toit en bardeaux) ou la connexion fonctionne bien mieux. Désolé pour l’inconvénient espérant que malgré tout nos techniciens arriveront un jour a résoudre complètement ce souci. Bon retour chez vous et au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau un de ces jours. MAuru'uru Roa!

Check in time was not correct

When booking, was told that check in was at 8am, Even on website it said that. I also called them and was told the same thing but when arrived we had to wait hours until 2pm

I am very sorry that you had to wait before getting to your room , and even if we make our best to give the room as soon as possible our checking time is (as most of the hotels) 2 PM. I do not know were you red 8 AM but this is a mistake or a misreading . The entire staff and I hope that this will keep good memories of your stay despit this misunderstanding. Sunny regards .

Pros: I lost my passport. Hotel staff were very helpful trying to locate it and then in contacting authorities to obtain the necessary documents to travel
Location: Close to shops and several resturants such as the Moorea Yacht Club restuarant.
Good facilities although dissappointed in the qualif\ty of the coral and snorkelling. This is not the fault of the hotel, rather the result of coral bleaching and crown of thorns starfish.

A wonderful natural backdrop of green clad volcanic mountains warm sea that abounds with tropical sea live right under your bungalow. Moorean staff are so friendly and their culture permeates the whole environment. Great pool and food choices. Close to the local community including French influenced cafes and restaurants. Excellent events management and special touches. We will be back!

Trop cher au vu de la prestation proposée

Hôtel pas très bien entretenu pour le prix payé. Déçue de l'hôtel qui pourtant est très bien noté. Le bungalow plage loué avait sa porte fenaitres cassé car déjà cambriolée mais non remplacée. On ne peut pas accéder à la plage de la terrasse car en hauteur. Obligé de faire le tour. Il n'y a pas de bouteille d'eau dans la chambre contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur le site, sous prétexte que l'hôtel est en zone eau potable... Le wifi est payant dans les chambre et pratiquement inaccessible dans l'hôtel car trop de monde essayant de se connecter. Le dîner spectacle du samedi soir inutile car on ne vois rien si on n'est pas placé juste devant. Meme les gens qui ont squatter les tables sur le côté on pu voir le spectacle. C'est lamentable. La piscine est trop petite pour le monde qu'il y a, pourtant pas en haute saison.

Ce n'est pas un avis mais une réponse à votre commentaire. Je n'ai jamais entendu qu'un de nos bungalow avait été cambriolé. Aprés que votre porte ai été endommagée cela est possible mais depuis je suis certain que cela est réparée car nous avons un service maintenance qui est assez réactif sur ce genre de détail . Il est dommage que vous ne nous l'ayez pas signalé , car nous serions intervenu immédiatement. Je prends acte de vos autres remarques : devons nous interdire l’accès aux extérieurs les soirs de show ? Ou mieux contingenter la chose? JE vous promet que j'y réfléchi . Question piscine, c'est la plus grande de l’île et nous en avons beaucoup de compliment. Merci en tout les cas pour vos commentaires , la diversité d'opinion nous permet d'avancer et de s'améliorer . Nous espérons avoir le plaisir de vous démonter que les petits incidents rencontrés n'étaient que fortuits et passagers. MAuruuru .

Everything I hoped for and more

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in the perfect location with Albert's Tours right across the street and downtown Moorea only a 10 minute walk away. The bungalows were super nice and there was even a turn-down service to prep the room for night time.
