Reasonably priced

Posted Sep 2, 2014
40 minutes from Kenai Fjords cruise in Seward. After an 8 hour flight from Atlanta and our cruise starting at 9am next morning it was great to stop at Trail Lake Lodge at Moose Pass to get much needed rest and then have an comfortable drive to Seward in the morning.

Trail Lakes Lodge

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: No comment
Location: Middle of no where, not much to see or do.
Basically the room we had was a flea trap. The price was way above what it should have been for the condition of the place. The room was approx 10 x 10 with two twin beds and a T.V. The T.V. however was on cable and only got three channels, one of which was all snowy. Will never stay there again and certainly would not recommend it.

30 minutes from Seward, and much more affordable

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The price
Cons: It was fine, though the rooms could use a little more light.
Location: Near Seward.
A good options if staying in the Seward area, about a 30 minute drive to Seward. The motel is on a nice lake and much of the drive to Seward follows lakes and rivers.

Pros: The staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for me, bag of ice for my mosquito bites, take out meal, coffee, peaceful to sleep and good views
Cons: I had problems locking the door when I left the room to do anything
Location: its off the Seward highway, what more do you want
my room was in the small motel block the other side of the car park, the room although older was comfortable and had the usual bathroom with shower. Easy to find and park,

Was asked to give up my room because there was a festival going on in town and they could rent it out to someone else.

Room next door can hear you

Posted Aug 10, 2013
Inexpensve, other than that I wouldn't recommend to stay there. Room was too small for two people, wall was too thin to hear what they say in next door, no hair drier in the room. If you visit during the high summer, stay in your car overnight and get in the better hotel next day.

Enjoy the food, then move on down the road.

Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: Food was good. Very good in fact.
Cons: Rooms need a remodel. Pull up carpet. Buy some new beds and bedding.
Beautiful location. Wonderful food. Rooms were dirty and moldy. We asked for extra towels twice. Never got them. I would not stay here again.

Great location and priced right

Posted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Staff training and wireless internet range. I the internet cut in and out, but only in the room, if I went over to the main building it worked fine.
Location: Great location for hiking or just a senic drive.
The staff was they only thing that was disapointing. They just seemed like the could care less if I chose to stay there or not. No smiles, welcoming words, etc.
