Pros: beautiful layout architecture
Cons: make room slightly larger was cramped with bed & wardrobe close proximity
Location: beach is short walk from hotel, there is also a light house a few miles away
it was good accommodation, only thing was our room was slightly cramped, kicked my toe on wardrobe trying to manouver around the bed, otherwise top marks beautiful position very close to beach

Lovely hotel of older build with friendly staff and an excellent buffet breakfast. Loved the touch of creme egg in the coffee mugs for Easter.

Hotel is next to the beach with a lovley view

Posted Apr 6, 2017
Hotel has a lovley location. A few things that could be picked up on, the rooms in the hotel don't look like the pictures advertised, can be quite loud outside also.

Bedroom Disappointment

Posted Mar 18, 2017 on Hotels
The staff were excellent as was the ground floor area. Dining was a pleasant experience. However the room (111) was in a poor state despite a new carpet. The bathroom was very dingy, poorly lit and in very serious need of an upgrade.

Welcoming delightful hotel

Posted Mar 6, 2017 on Hotels
Hotel is an older style being 100 years old - which I prefer. It is very elegant and the staff and really helpful and attentive. Room was comfortable - ours was large and airy. Food is good, meals are reasonably priced, though not the cheapest in the area. Breakfast was very satisfactory for us, reasonable selection of hot food and cereals plus toast and croissants (kept warm). Not so much for continental style breakfast lovers, but it is Scotland. Located just opposite a lovely beach, it is not far from the harbour and shops. All in all had a very pleasant stay and would certainly go again.

Hotel a bit faded- grandeur, but work was being done to make the most of the spaciousness. The staff in the breakfast -room were 5* - couldn't do enough to be helpful and were warm and friendly a\s were all the staff. No lift but staff happy to help with luggage.
