We thoroughy enjoyed it. I have strayed at this hotel before, and found it to be in better shape than ever. We love the location--always.

Almost Perfect!

Posted Mar 6, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is perfectly situated, and we had a room overlooking the square. The bathroom was lovely, possibly newly renovated. The room had the added bonus of central heat, managed by a thermostat that could only be turn on after 9:00 pm. The downside of the hotel was very poor wifi, probably due to the thick stone walls. It could mainly be accessed in the restaurant or on the front patio, with hit and miss coverage in the room. We opted for breakfast, and the food and service were both consistently excellent.

Thanks a lot for sending your comments, we really appreciate them! We are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Probably there was a misunderstanding, you can turn on the heat if you need it. We will check what was the problem, to prevent confusions.

a Patzcuaro gem

Posted Jan 20, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed four nights in January. The most important consideration in an hotel is the room. This one was fantastic. The bed was quiet, beyond comfortable, the shower had lots of pressure and plenty of hot water, and the internet was fast. There was a patio overlooking the square.Breakfast was included as part of our stay, and it exceeded our expectations. We could order most anything of of the menu, the food was excellent, and the service first class. The breakfast was so filling that we could skip lunch! The only negative was the heat. There is a furnace, but it seems to be controlled by the staff and is set very low. However, we were provided with a space heater that was adequate, and the comforter on the bed was so comfy that we didn't want to get up. The hotel is from the 1700's with lots of antique furniture. There is even a separate reading room! We would stay here again without any hesitation.

Over all nice Hotel

Posted Jan 14, 2015 on Hotels
the hotel was very traditional for the area. Rooms were nice, TV's should be updated to flat screens. It would have been nice to know their was a complimentary happy hour from 6pm to 7pm and complimentary coffee was available by room number 5 instead of finding out after the fact.

Hotel had amenities not explained at check in. Like a complimentary happy hour from 6-7 pm. Coffee and tea available at night. Would like to have known these were available.

My wife and I love this hotel.

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: We love this hotel. Very old and very clean. Lots of artifacts. Plus a good breakfast.
Cons: We love this hotel in the summer. The heating in the winter is deadly. Very cold. Be ready to crawl under the covers with your clothes on.
Location: It is right in the heart of everything.
The people are very accommodating, but non speak English. Some do understand it though.

We are glad you had a nice time with us in a Little town like Pátzcuaro is hard to have people who speak English during the whole time at the Hotel, but we are working on that. We are looking forward to have you with us again in our hotel in Pátzcuaro.

Quanit Antiue Hotel in ancient town

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Fit perfectly into the village ambience but most most amenities available
Cons: Shower felt like needles with low volume shower head. A higher quality hotel like this should do a bit better.
Location: Plenty
Easter weekend - lot of excitement and markets. Hotel is well done and reasonable. We experience a minor earthquake as we were leaving. Lots of ground movement. Most stayed calm and it was over in about 30 seconds. Apparently centered near Acapulco at 7.2.
