Stay with family: Customer Service can be improved

Pros: We loved the place, the area and the service of the staff at the restaurant. The food is excellent at the restaurant.
Cons: Be proactive and recognize your mistakes. Don't try to fool your customers w/ the "all rooms are different sizes" - charge less for smaller rooms.
Location: great location - you need your own car to move around - Uber is not available in Morelia - There is a Taxi Executivo App you can use instead.
The checking in experience was very disappointing. Having booked the room well in advance (and paid for it) I called a day before the arrival to check everything was OK. They confirmed my reservation (2 rooms) and told me that I had a double bed bedroom and a king size bed bedroom. Arriving at the hotel the staff confirmed my reservation and gave me vouchers for breakfast (as indicated). Everything fine until the moment we went to our rooms and found out that both were double bed rooms and one of them was significantly smaller than the other. I called reception, saying that I was expecting one of the rooms to have a king size bed and both of them having similar sizes. The people at the reception desk could not solve my complain and limited themselves to say that (1) the king size bed room was a mistake and (2) the rooms were ALL different in the hotel and the sizes were similar. I was not happy and said that the argument of having all different rooms at the hotel was not valid given that the differences of sizes were significant and I had paid the same rate for both rooms. Manager was called to intervene and she finally solved the issue with moving us to another (larger) room. The issue here is: this situation could have been solved quicker if staff was empowered to take actions - they were not able to help and their attitude was unhelpful and foolish. In contrast, the people at the restaurant were great. They should train staff at the front desk.

Awesome views and excellent service

My stay at the Villa Montaña was absolutely satisfying. From the cleanliness of the hotel to the food and service. They make sure to take care of all your needs in a timely manner. The staff is very friendly and respectful, in specific Raul was of great help. The hotel also has awesome views, you can over look the city of Morelia while enjoying a meal. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Morelia.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing & very friendly staff

Everything you could ask for in a hotel gateway & if they don't have something you need they will send someone to get it for you. Top 5 best hotel experiences so far for sure. Only one small complaint: the GYM treadmill & elliptical machines did not work I was truly disappointed about that but I made it work without. Anyway, I will be recommending this hotel & will be booking more stays with friends/family in the near future.

Hill top cottage

Incredible hill top cottage like rooms with great views of the city. Most rooms have working fire places that add greatly to the ambiance of your over all space. Food and cervice are incredible.

A Hotel that you will remember

Pros: The room, the food, decoration
Cons: The Spa didn't have a working steam bath..
Location: The location is what you expect of a hotel like this a bit away from all.
Our room 122, was large, with an amazing view, patio, fireplace, private are of livingroom and quiet... the restaurant, spa, parking and all of the installations are very nice. Every corner of the hotel is decorated very Mexican, which owesome taste. This is a hotel I will keep going..

Incredibly beautiful resort hotel

Pros: It is sooo relaxing.
Cons: Nothing: don't change anything
Location: Morelia was founded 500 years ago and there is a lot of things to see and do.
This is not a hotel where each room is like the next. This is a resort with each room like a little villa. Our had an ample balcony with 2 chairs and table overlooking Morelia: beautiful views day or night. The room had a fireplace with 2 armchairs and a table, a desk with chair, a huge bathroom that included a bidet, a very large king bed, large closet and 2 cabinets with drawers for clothes: ample! The meals were outstanding, made fresh not microwaved. The wine list, desert list, drinks, were wonderful. And all this for about 1/2 the cost paid in the US. Free wifi throughout. What a dream place! And the spa, out of this world!
