My stay was fine. The location was convenient for me. My only issues were the bathroom not being completely clean, the sink in the kitchenette being stained, and a used bar of soap left in the bathroom. Other than that I had no complaints.

I have never had an experience like this at a hotel, especially a Marriott property. I was traveling with my husband and 2 children. I knew we would be checking in late, so I called the hotel to notify them. We arrived a bit after midnight, checked in, and went to our room. We put our things down, and I started looking around the room. The sink was full of dirt, hair, etc. I cleaned it up, thinking that perhaps someone had done some work in the room and left a mess at the sink. Then, I noticed that the sheets and pillow cases didn’t look clean. The same dirt and hairs were on the sheets, with the addition of eye makeup on the pillow cases. I went downstairs to inform the person at the desk. He gave me another room. I went to that room to check it before getting my family and going to the room. This room had hair on the sheets and eye makeup on the pillow cases. I went back downstairs, and was put in another room (this was our 3rd room!). This room was okay. The bathroom floor wasn’t very clean, but we made it work. It was nearly 1 am at the point, and I had two kids with me. At no point did the person at the front desk even apologize. In fact, he didn’t even seem surprised. At checkout, I told the two people at the front desk what had happened. They thanked me for letting them know and said they would have the rooms cleaned. 3 rooms, 3 people, and NO ONE even apologized! The person who managed breakfast was the only person who was helpful in any way.

Newly renovated room, but uncomfortable bed, so not sure if the bed was new. Floors that weren’t carpeted needed mopping, toilet got clogged from 3 pieces of tissue, pool floor was peeling, jacuzzi button was inoperable, but it wasn’t terrible. The location is cool because there’s a lot of food within walking distance and also a Dollar General nearby. What bothered me the most was that I paid for the room via Expedia, but when I arrived, I paid the hotel for the room plus the $20 incidental. The $20 is fine but why did I pay twice for the room? We will see what happens in a few days. May just be disputing a charge with my credit card company. Don’t book through a 3rd party. Oh and someone was smoking weed in their room so the hallway had that strong weed odor.

Not having a door on the bathroom sink area is awful because it’s right in front of the beds, no privacy for the people sleeping nor the person using sink mirror etc. I was blow drying my hair directly in front of 3 people trying to sleep which we had to use our own extension cords for because the bathroom counter area outlet did not work. Only one mirror in the entire room, and they were doing remodeling on our floor, complete with scaffolding directly blocking our door upon exit at one point.

Checked in okay but room assigned to us had a malfunctioning electronic lock. Couldn't open it with key card. Electronic mechanism kept on flashing red. Went downstairs to lobby to let them know about the problem and we were assigned a different room. This room also had a problem with the door lock mechanism. This one wouldn't shut. You had to close the door with a bang and test it until you made sure it was locked. Our room's carpet was not vacuumed. We found several debris. Shower wall had hair plastered on it - gross!!! Breakfast the following morning was disappointing. We were expecting waffles which we had during the previous week's overnight stay. This Springhill hotel in Morgantown is a disgrace to the Marriot brand.

Great Hotel
Very nice hotel. They are currently doing construction so I think that this will be wonderful after the upgrades. The room had some minor issues but it did not take away from the experience. Peeling wall paper, loose toilet seat. Nothing serious that would make me not want to stay here again.

This hotel needs to be gutted. The hallway carpet on the first floor is disgusting. Stains everywhere. This continues into the room. Our room was so dated and really needs renovation. I will say I was told at check in the 3rd floor is under renovation. Hopefully this means the entire hotel is receiving renovation. The shower and the beds were awful. Water pressure was good but the shower itself is old and deteriorating. We stopped here as a stop to sleep on the way to Pittsburgh. I thought Springhill Suites and Marriott were more respectable than what this hotel is putting out.

Bathroom was disgusting. Shower curtain dirty and stained, grout dirty, wallpaper peeling from walls. Carpet in room was heavily stained, would NOT walk on that carpet in bare feet. Beds were small. Pool was not great, but ok. Pool bathroom, nasty. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Would NOT stay here again.
