"The hotel was excellent. It's only about a 15 min walk from the railway station (which also serves the Glacier Express). Zermatt is car free, so if the walk is too far there are taxi options (although I didn't use these). Zermatt is very picturesque. Unfortunately my trip to Zermatt was delayed due to issues with my flight, which meant that I arrived at the hotel much later than planned (and when reception was closed). However, I was able to inform the hotel of this issue en-route and they provided me with good details of what to do. Room was large, spacious and had a traditional Swiss theme. It also had a balcony, complete with outdoor chairs/table and overlooked the mountains (although not the Matterhorn from my side of the hotel at least). The shower was much better than I expected from looking at it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast."
