Nice Hotel Needs some tlc,

Posted Aug 3, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Interior modernisation
Room was over kitchen extractor fan on until late and staff chatting under window on their breaks. No ice for drinks, and dinner hadn't been added to the bill. Interior slightly shabby, needs attention, breakfast room was not ready ontime,

Hotel walking distance from town

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Pros: Quick check in. Clean and comfortable bedroom
Cons: More exciting menu. Dinner service was slow on second night.
Location: Handy for the town. Short drive to areas for walking. Handy for the coast
Bedroom excellent but bar and restaurant looked tired. Sunday evening meal was excellent ( choice on set menu). Other nights just picked off the general menu, not so impressive.

Seemed short staffed for breakfast. Items ran out. Breakfast room too small.

Good stay away

Only stay two nights but was well looked after, only one slight fault on the first morning the boiler had gone off so we had a bracing cold shower, once we told them it was put right straight away so not a issue.

Nice hotel in a lovely location.

Lovely Hotel only a short walk from the centre of Rothbury. Great base for exploring the Simonside hills, Cragside estate or Rothbury. Stayed in room 2 which is very spacious, has a huge comfortable bed and a roll top bath.
